This application is extremely useful and seems to have disappeared. To help my friend out (jleemero) who was looking for it, and to allow myself the ability to say "There's even an application for compiling the [aim bot] here as well, so don't ask me how to compile it", I've decided to attach the contents of the archive that held ASM to ARDS to this post in the 7z archive format.

Credit to the devkitARM team for the devkitARM executables; credit to kenobi for the ASM to ARDS front end.

It doesn't "work" for me on Vista, either.

What I do is use devkitARM to assemble the source, then rename the binary output to source.bin and put it in the folder of ASM to ARDS.

Then, I open the application and hit the convert button without entering anything into the left panel (it doesn't make a difference at this point; if the program locates a source.bin file, it will use it and bypass all the "steps" of the process prior to using the file).

The correct output appears neatly on the right side of the GUI as expected. It's a bit of extra work, but eh...it's Vista. What are you gonna do?

But that costs money.

Maybe after another round of having a job, I'll consider it?

This lap top got old fast, after all.

Mac OS X is a truly great operating system. I think you're jealous that you can't afford one. Or maybe just uneducated.

More than likely the latter of the two.

If I wasn't educated I wouldn't know how to do half the shit I do, I can afford one but I don't want one. If you ask me mac are for the idiots, seriously everyone I've talked to are like "oh its so easy to use". Well so is windows >_> but when they go to windows they're like a retard trying to get a wife. -.-

Anyhow to help the topic creator out try the file I uploaded and see if it works with vista. :\ The fact that its one file, and not several may help.

Edit: Uploading a diff one as request of virus, sorry bud >_<

The only thing I can agree with in that statement is that the marketing is VERY geared towards being "easy to use."
People who "can't even find the power button" can use a Mac.

Regardless, you can still do plenty of advanced shit without too much fucking around like you need to with Windows.

I own a Macbook Air, 9 machines with Windows, 4 with Linux, 3 of which are laptops.

Yes.. but incase you didn't read you had to do something with the files to get it to work. Mainly because vista has some problem with linking files or something similar to that...

If I had to venture a guess, it involves setting the PATH environment variable or some other tedium I've done all too many times on Vista.

The better solution is to just switch to a more competent OS.

Indeed, I can't afford to right now.

The best thing about OS X is that it's a UNIX-like environment. Anyone who hates on OS X after learning that is simply a fool. Other than that, you should still focus on writing platform-independent code, or at least portable code. For example, everything on http://hg.kodewerx.org/ is platform-independent; the C compiles and runs on just about any OS, and the XUL runs on ... well, just about any OS that has a XULRunner build.

Basically that.

Unics to Unix to BSD to NEXTSTEP to Mac OSX.
Oh, and Linux, Solaris, Free BSD, Net BSD, OpenBSD, AIX, and that crazy HP/UX thing...

Basically, microsoft is the only remaining holdout that hasn't yet realized Unix is the only OS to truly stand the test of time. And for that matter, the Unix-like modular is the future. (See: GNU Hurd)

Um...
Not necessarily.

An OS that is more efficient, faster, and easier to maintain is simply better.
And not to mention, extremely important, easy to develop for from the developers standpoint.

You can't say that calling a brand-new Lamborghini better than a bike with no wheels, handlebars, and a seat that shocks you with a quick 250k Volt shock is a "matter of opinion".
(Obvious exaggeration, don't fucking tell me, it's to help show my point.)

This topic is as outdated as the argument within; if Virus's app really does work in more scenarios with equal or greater functionality, then there's no reason for this thread to remain open.
