Well, I have been trying to get this Dell Optiplex gx150 to work; and I've finally cleared the harddrive and made everything 'like new'.
The only thing that is not working is sound.
When I try to play any sound/music file, I get an error saying something to the effect of: "Hardware is not detected, please reinstall the drivers". This errormessage only popped up once I installed, from a disc, SoundBlaster Live; which came with an old Win98 Gameway.
Before I installed that disc, no errormessage would pop up; but also, no sound would play. I checked, and the problem is not the speakers. They work with other computers when I plug them in. Also, I am plugging the speakers into the correct port on the computer, so that is not the issue.
So, can anyone help me? Or does anyone know how to fix this issue?
