Yep yep!

Got a job in Tucson. I'll be living just north though in Oro Valley.
Saw the opportunity, went for it, got it. So I'll be moving at the end of October.

It'll be the first time actually on my own. (no more parent's basement!)

I just moved out of AZ last February. Although I was nowhere near Tucson... About a 4-hour drive.

Is it good work?

More of the same, web development. The dress code is up to business casual from "wear flip-flops and sweatpants, we don't care".

It pays a bit more than my current job.
Company is smaller.
They have quarterly bonuses of $500 based on performance. (win)
aaaand I'll get to skip midwest winters.

Oh, and after 3 months, I can schedule a day of every week to work from home too. Wednesdays for sure.

Biggest motivation is abandoning my current life and starting an independent one hundreds of miles away. This may be a form of insanity, but I like it.

How is life in Cali going, btw?
Any pro tips on moving that kind of a distance?

Just have money saved up to cover expenses until you're on your feet and established.

The best tip I can provide: Find a friend or two, quick. One outside of the office environment. One who can show you around. And then you'll be alright.

Life in CA is amazing, pretty much. I'm now earning triple what my salary was just a year ago. Although that comes at a price; I slept in the office last weekend just to get enough work done for that milestone. (We're kind of on an agile development cycle, with weekly milestones.) And I work really long hours, anyway. Part of the status quo, I suppose.

Made it to AZ in one piece with only one bullshit speeding ticket.

Job is okay so far- just the drive to and from is ass.

The old job kept me on part time as an independent contractor so I'm going to be super busy most of the time but should be making decent money.
