I just have a question. What have you guys been up to?
For me, it's been a hell of a year. Short summary: Working my ass off full time for minimum wage and dealing with a psychotic bitch who has stopped at nothing to fuck shit up in my life.

Growing up is a bitch.

I've been missing this community and the way it used to be. Hopefully this thread gets some attention. I'm curious on what you guys have been doing with your lives.

Well, I moved back to Alabama last year and started college at a community college. Stayed there for a year, applied to Auburn University, was accepted, and then was rejected in-state tuition. So now, I have to move back to North Carolina, leaving all of my new friends behind, and further my edumacation.

I'm pissed off at Auburn University though. Not because they rejected my in-state tuition appeal, but the tuition itself. I wasn't too worried about the in-state tuition because I have financial aid that covers in-state tuition costs, but when I was rejected in-state tuition I looked at the out-of-state tuition prices. Out-of-state tuition is $23,000+ this year (Per semester). Not to mention, the in-state tuition is $8,000+. I honestly don't understand the reasoning behind the exorbitant prices, but whatever...

Other than that, I have been making websites, making music (lolololol Garageband) in my spare time, and vidja gaemz.

I moved to San Francisco in February as a software engineer at an audience engagement startup. In the past 6 months, I've doubled my salary. I still have a long way to go.

I am still useless to all of the women in my life. Some things never change.

Hmm. Better late than never. Well, let's see. Continued to work for the military; I may be a lifer. Got a fiance; we're to be married in December. Currently, I'm fighting the war in Afghanistan. And it's been an interesting deployment thus far. I still say you should join, Lemma.

Bah, the last thing I need is more stress like that. I don't think I'd have what it takes, anyway. Haha.

Lemma, I tried calling you a few weeks ago, but got nothing out of it. Later that night, a different 801 number texted me with some unrelated crap. It turned out to be a freak coincidence, as I dived in and discovered who it was and why they contacted me (using only social engineering tactics, because it was more fun that way).

Oh, and I'm now at triple what my salary was just a year ago. That's not saying much, but relatively speaking, it's fucking awesome.
