New guy here. Yes, I really am new!

I'm here asking for some help with Jailbreaking my iPhone 3g. I have recently updated it to the newest 3.0 version.
I've just downloaded Redsn0w, and also the Restore file and such, but the only problem is that whenever I run Redsn0w...
Well let's just say that after I press the correct buttons, and the phone is being 'Jailbroken', Windows says that the program has stopped working. Checking for solutions to the problem. . . And then I have to close it.

What's the problem here? Can it be fixed?

There are two problems:
1) You bought an iPhone.
2) You're running Windows.

the 3. problem is that you use windows vist or 7 beta

dont use an iphone and use Ubuntu and not windows.
