For Game development, that is. Im gonna go to my local Chapters, and get a book that teaches you how to program, probably in C++.

Also, since you do create a game while learning, what is the best graphics "overlayer"? Blender is good, but it has one of the steepest learning curves for a PC program ever!

My recommendation: don't start game development until you *really* know a programming language. C is the best language for game development in my opinion, but yours may be different; it's really a matter of personal preference. You'll find plenty of help available if you choose C/C++.

C over C++ is simple: Classes (and OOP in general) are crap. They have their uses, certainly. But when an entire program is written with objects only, you end up with a giant mess of overhead.

C++ is built on top of C. Most C programs will compile fine with a C++ compiler. C++ only adds a bunch of unnecessary crap that clogs up the CPU pipeline with overhead.

Ok, so for learning Ill choose C, granted that they have C manuals.

Again, what program is the best for overlaying graphics?

I think the best I've done was programing a Blackjack game in JavaScript and a text boxing RPG in TI-83. Out of those two, I'd say JavaScript is easier.
