Ok, we had a bad storm tonight and the power went off at home for a bit(I was at work when it happened) and now our computer and monitor won't turn on. Everything is plugged into a surge protector, so I doubt anything got fried and the printer, modem and router are working just fine. I'm not sure what happened. Any ideas?

Does anything work plugged into the surge protector?

Does the monitor itself not work? As in, are there no familiar lights or signs of activity? If there are, and your computer appears to be running, chances are it's either the graphics/video card or the motherboard.
