Hi, recently my computer's motherboard broke, and i sent it away for repairs, the person has fitted a craptacular Intel chipset, and now the sound doesn't work, and the two USB ports on the front no longer work, can someone help me? Oh, and my chipset is Intel i810E. |

There's really no way I can help you in any way without a hell of a lot more info. You're telling me you sent your motherboard away for repairs. What was wrong with it. BE SPECIFIC. You say someone fitted it with a new chipset... Yeah, no. You don't just "slap on a new chipset". Doesn't work that way. More than likely, you either got whatever was wrong fixed, or you received a new/refurbished motherboard. Also, how much experience do you have with computers? Really, honestly. Because the front USB ports not working could mean something's not set up right in the BIOS. It could also mean you didn't fucking hook up the USB ports. Info buddy, more info. |

Ah, alright. I sent off my computer for repairs because the motherboard had blown out, when i recieved my computer after It'd been fixed, the sound or the front USB ports would no longer work, leading me to assume there's something wrong with the drivers or BIOs. |

From a great deal of it, they were being lazy bastards... Open up your computer and look to see if they got plugged up. There should be a cord that runs from tha USB port for tha sound. There should be a plug at tha top of tha sound card. As for USBs, I would have to look into mine to see which one runs tha USB ports. |

There are internal USB connectors on the main board or at least mine has them, and they look like the one in the picture below followed by "USBXX" printed next to the connectors, where XX is the number. Bare in mind that the IE1394_X may look similar, make sure you read the fine print on the board before connecting.
