I keep getting this same error for my AR. The past few days (since about a week before school started) I typed in the Twilight Princess codes for my AR right? And a few days later after using it I get the following error. LF(GC1:DATELCOD.BIN) CRC Check Failed Press A to Continue... And once I do press A to continue it tries to load it again and I get the same error. I press it a third time and it gives me the message below. Hardware read error.... The Action Replay hardware must be reset. There's no option to press No or Yes, it's just OK. And when I click that, everything is obviously erased and I have to type in the codes again. I do that and I come to a few days again (today) with the error. I just tried a memory card with V.1.08 on it (of the AR) and it worked fine. My AR version that's having this trouble is V.1.14. Honestly, I don't know what the problem is. Whether I did something wrong or the AR is just fucked up on its own. Because I have never experienced this error before this time at all (not even with my V.1.08 AR). So, if anyone can enlighten me on how I A. Fix it without having to retype in my codes for a third time B. Copy the codes to the working V.1.08 AR file or C. A faster way at retyping the codes in. The last one is impossible for me though so don't even bother with that one. ![]() Honestly though, I'm going to need some help on this one as I don't even know what the error means... ![]() |

The "AR hardware" (AKA cheap ass memory card 59) is officially dead. Toss it out and start using a real memory card. Preferably an officially branded product. |

I'm not sure to get it quite well, so I assume the following : You have the AR 1.08 and 1.14 software. You have the AR 1.08 and 1.14 dongle (= 'memory card'). The 1.14 dongle's files become corrupted after a while. The 1.14 software can be used with the 1.08 dongle. If all of these are correct, my guess is that your 1.14 dongle is somehow corrupted (or 'dead' as Para said), and you should just use your 1.08 dongle (as it seem to be working correctly for now). And about Para's answer, I'm not sure that the 1.14 software will accept a 'normal' memory card instead of the dongle, but it's been a while since I turned on my GC, so my memory might not serve me well... |

Well, to be perfectly clear, kenobi I have the following: I have the AR V.1.14 software (CD and the memory card it came with) and I have my old AR V1.08 memory file on one of my official memory cards. If said memory card is dead, that would be my second AR memory card dead (my first one was working so perfectly...until I accidentally was able to open and close it ![]() ![]() Thanks for the help though, very much appreciated. |

Both of my AR discs (v1.06 and v1.10 labeled on the data side of the disc) accept standard memory cards if you boot the GCN with a standard card in slot B. I don't see why they would change that 4 revisions later... |

For some reasons I thought/remembered that only the ARv1.06 could create a cheat file on a 'normal, empty of any AR cheat file' memory card... |
