I am using windows 98 and I have a usb micro sd adapter. For some reason when I plug the adapter in, the computer doesn't see that it's plug and play. How do I get it to read it?

I don't think Windows 98 is supported any more. The hardware that you have may not support Windows 98.

You could probably use a Linux LiveCD to move files onto it, like Knoppix (which has a jackass admin) or Xubuntu.

It's probably due to the fact that most computers that came with Windows98 have USB 1.0, and most-to-all USB devices sold now are USB 2.0.

Note: USB 2.0, can read both 1.0 and 2.0; but USB 1.0 can only read 1.0.

Er, what? USB 2.0 objects work fine on USB 1.1.

They're just a lot slower.
