I'm using No$GBA version 2.4a and the newest Renegade64 I could find.

I have Renegade linked to No$GBA. I play for a while, search for my money in MMBN5: Double Team DS, and repeat a few times, until I have one result.

I edit the memory value.. and my money is permanently set to 0. No matter what I do I can't move it.

I also took the memory address, copied it into Code Editor and changed the first digit to 1 for a XXXX format, and used 0000FFFF.

My money was completely unaffected on the actual cart.

Well, sometimes when you have several results with the same value, you should try several of them

Hacking money is .1 outta 5 on the difficulty scale.

I don't. I have exactly one. Which, until I attempt to change it, matches my ingame changes perfectly.

Title: All in a day's work.

If the emulator settings are out of date, update them yourself. That's why Viper added the ability to do so. If instead this is a genuine bug, post it in the Renegade thread, in Game Hacking Development.
