| Post subject: | wii gcnrd? |
I need to know what I can buy for my wii that will run homebrew GCNrd and where I can buy it. Im thinking about buying Sd Media launcher by datel but I'm not sure if that supports GCNrd I am also unsure how sdload functions, is it a application that can be booted or is it the main program ran by the sd card? So lets say i have an action replay and SDML doesn't run GCNrd could I format the SDcard and place sdload on it and run it from the action replay codes? Also does GCNrd need to have a connection to the pc to code search or can it recognise the wii's wireless connection or does it need it at all? I have no idea what to do and as you see I am unsure of anything right now, a quick response would be appreciated. |

GCNrd does not and probably will never work on the Wii. |

A quick explanation why that is and I will leave it at that. The reason I ask of this is because many people are not aware of GC homebrew on the wii. which is possible, but if you could provide me a rundown on where the blockade is, I might be able to see if there is a way past it. I just do not see why I couldn't get it running with a AR SD Media loader sdcard/sdload Lan adapter GCNrd becuase the hyperviser should not flag it. |

It's possible someone could hack a GCN LAN adapter into it, but I doubt anyone will. There's no known way, and probably no way at all (barring perhaps a firmware hack and/or virtualization) to use the Wii's networking or Bluetooth hardware in Gamecube more. The only other option is to hack up some sort of connection between the PC and the controller or memory card port, no thanks. |

I don't believe there is a soldering point on the motherboard for one to even hack it into. |
