I Use an Ipaq HX2795 with Windows Mobil 5 on it. The web browser sucks. I cannot reply to post or messages using the slimmed version of IE 5 that it uses. Could somebody make a suggestion of a "FREE" web browser for it?

here are some freeware sites that have helped me. I take it you've been to download.com and windowsmobile.com for the update....:
LOL I've even found free anti virus software and IRC apps for my pocket PC. i'm sure you will find a browser. Keep me updated!

and uhm minimo and opera, I have never tried these, since I have not needed a browser for my pocket pc . I do have the CD for my MDA with GSM and outlook 2002. Not certian if it would be compatible with your phone though.

Opera isnt free though there is a Beta version out.

Bosko@ Thanks for the Freeppc site. Though i didn't find a browser i found a multimedia player for the PPC. Now i will be able to watch Apocolypse Now Redux. Boy i love the smell of napalm in the morning!

what about the other browsers I mentioned above?

just a question do you want a browser made by the makers of firefox the browser is called minifox sorry if this is a little late

I didn't know they had a FireFox for the Pocket PC. I'll check into it.

I doubt they do, but it wouldn't hurt to look into it.

Minimo sucks as a browser for the Pocket PC. it is slow and a memory hog. I cannot surf because it is so slow.
It takes up so much memory and resources that it closes any open programs and usualy crashes the systen to the point where i need to soft reset the Pocket PC.

I need another recomendation please.

I don't care, I use IE 7, Firefox 2.0, Opera 9.0 and Wii Internet Channel...

MIR, from what I understand the links I mention above have some browsers.... I haven't had the need to switch browsers yet unless there's a feature i like. I beleive there is also Opera lite for the phones and PDA. (not certain, but I think i read that somewhere.)

I am however having a problem viewing youtube videos, the error I get is due to my phone only having micromedia lite 7.1 and i need 8. I'm still waiting for that unless there is a supporting browser.

at download.com there is some cool features as well if you google freeware PPC lite applications. If you use lite it picks up ware for mobile, PDA phones etc.

I hope this helps. I know with some searching i have found some awesome apps.

Windows Mobile??? If it's running anything other than *NIX, you DO NOT WANT.
