Howdy folks!

I participated in my third game jam this weekend, at an event called Life Is A Game. This one was a bit different from the last two; this was a VC funding-oriented jam, meaning there were Venture Capitalists looking to fund some existing startups or create new ones using the games being presented as a tool for measurement on viability and all that business blather.

My team took 2nd place, and a generous prize of $15,000 AWS credits. I'll write a bit more about the concept later and share a slideshow presentation and tech demo that we created over the 24 hour period. The AWS credits are meant to go toward making the actual game, but could also negotiate some other ideas as well. We'll see where we take it, but it's a great first step toward doing what I really care about: Making fun and interesting experiences for people.
