It finally has a page where you can buy it, but it still says coming soon.

It may be something to watch though. :)

(edit:) Availibility is now immediate. (so they say)
I just got my confirmation email and it says the Toolkit is back ordered. ;\
Yay.....

If it's any good I may get it. If not I'll probably hold out for flashcart support in Kwurdi.

I'll wait for a review... I hate CodeJunkies so it's gonna have to be a damn good review before I think about buying it. Or they could send it for free and I'll just bitch about it.

From what I've heard, Kwurdi (with a parralell port interface) is about 1.5/2 times faster than
Trainer Toolkit (Using USB 2.0) LOL.

Author:  Parasyte [ Sun Feb 11, 2007 9:29 am ]
Post subject:

Kwurdi can maintain a 2.2mbit connection. (Full RAM dump in 15 seconds.) According to Datel, a full RAM dump takes "around 20 seconds," which is 1.6mbit, max. Kwurdi's USB interface will be at least 4mbit, if not more.

Are you quiting with NTRrd???

It was only renamed, to better describe the main idea behind it. (See the Kwurdi thread for specific information on it. This thread is for Trainer Toolkit.)

I have already pre-ordered my trainer toolkit and will let you all know how good (or bad) it works when I get it. Remember though, although it may have a slow dump, it could always be improved with future versions (which i think Datel mentioned was planned) and $49.99 is still less than an xport. Guess we will have to wait for it to come out to see what it can really do. (I already have some ideas on how to make it compatible with a flashcard but we will see)

Not sure how accurate this is, but I received a "Your Codejunkies order has been completed" mail from CJ UK, and my order status says :
"Order Status: Complete & Despatched"

More than that Para and as you fully know...it requires a deep understanding of the code types as many of the DS games now require codes that are not going to be the simple constant write type. (for newbs: codes could change from level to level in a game). More...Kwurdi I am sure is, besides being faster, will in the long run...have the capability to add functionality that Datel's version will not have. And finally, it is misleading in nature...as Para, Viper and Kenobi know (as they bring me up to speed with advanced code types)...it really all depends on how deep your knowledge of hacking goes as this kit is not going to do all the work for you. Be Advised: Developers Kit means just that...for advanced and experienced hackers.

Macrox, the GBA bus is a bottleneck for any communications port. I think it is able to do about 8mbit max between NDS and Xport. (Although I have never actually clocked it; just an educated guess.) Any USB hardware will likely add even more overhead, slowing it down to probably around 4mbit.

Same here, so what did they dispatch? my money into their pockets? Anyway I think its kind of like a pre order. They probably just don't tell you its a pre order and that you wont be getting anything. we will see though, I went with 5 day shipping how about you?

I use the Trainer Toolkit everyday, and it's what we've been using to make ALL of the NDS AR codes since the AR product was launched.... It has some faults, but overall, it gets the job done quite well.

What I honestly can't wait to see what the community does once the ToolKit is released to the public.. I'd bet the ToolKit gets reversed by a few folks, then a BETTER version (with breakpoints) will be released by someone in the community. (At least, that's my prediction.)

FNG...Please see my email from my private email account. I do not think we are the ones who would attempt a reverse engineering of the Datel version...as when you read the above we have a custom setup that seems to be working just fine. But then again...one cannot ever guarantee the actions of another now...can one? I hope to have more dialog with you especially since Bill and Nick have left the Datel nest. ttyl

Macrox, I responded to your email this morning. "SENT: Mon 2/12/2007 8:49 AM"
Second, I'd like to see the trainer toolkit reversed and imporoved upon. I'm sure your custom setup works just fine, however, $199.99 for that device is extremely steep.

Yes, and the hardware cannot be used to its full potential yet, either. What can be done with it in the future remains to be seen.

Huh Macrox, are you unbanned?

I'll most likely be picking up the Trainer Toolkit.
While it's a step up from the emulators we have right now, anything can beat the "ability" to dump 64kb of RAM onto a flashcart. :P

OUCH no breakpoints? Thats one thing that I would love to see. I take it you work for Datel? If so Is there any possibility for a fimware and software update that would allow for breakpoints from datel?

Yes, FNG is a Datel employee. If his responses here are any indication, I'd say he's expecting no such updates in the foreseeable future.

I just pre-ordered mine last night. :)
Hopefully I'll be able to hack some decent codes with it.

Edit:
I just checked the Trainer Toolkit page and it says that availability is now Immediate.
