Block sites from being able to be accessed? My brother goes on this gay site named Bebo.com and it's fulla spyware, so is there any way i can block it without having to use parental control? Thanks. |

You can set up a proxy server and block it...Or you could just use Firefox. |

That's the thing, it's for a different account, well, any account, but my brother doesn't use firefox. |

it's easy. just do this: log in to an account with admin access navigate to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc open the file named "hosts" add the following lines to the bottom of it: (remove the space in the www) Code: ww w.bebo.com 64.233.187.99 bebo.com 64.233.187.99 save it now, open a command prompt (DOS box) type the following: ping bebo.com it should give you the above IP address. If so, go to the site in firefox. The site you get is what anyone on that computer will get. If you'd rather just have it redirect to another gay website, use the IP 207.46.199.30 instead of the one above. *Note that this will only work if the side doesn't use subdomains (gaystuff.bebo.com, moregay.bebo.com, etc.)[/code] |

LoL. Go here: http://64.233.187.99/ That's the site you'll be redirecting to. There's nothing gay about it. http://207.46.199.30/ isn't gay so much as ghey, imho. But you make the call on that one. if nothing else, just use the ever popular 127.0.0.1 in place of the IP's. That will get rid of the site, and make it look like it's down. |

You can uninstall Internet Exploder. You can also replace iexplore.exe with Firefox. I know because I've done it. |
