Bored one day and felt like hacking Pokemon. This is what I came up with:




A hack made by me. The game was made from Emerald so its Emerald style gameplay. There will be more versions to come but right now I'm only on v1.5 working towards v1.6 where I can edit some more pokemon,items,etc.
Anybody can play all you need to do is download the following files (you can also play on other systems rather than the pc, if you have the right tools of course):

Q. How do I make old saves work with updated versions of the game?
A. Save your game from the in-game menu, like you would do any other Pokemon game; then when you find your .sav file for Rebirth on your PC rename it to the updated games name. (i.e. pokemonrebirth1.4.sav would be renamed to pokemonrebirth1.5.sav) Next load your game from the game's menu. (not your emu's menu) There you have it, your game should be updated with no progress lost.

Q. Do you have any guides on how to hack Pokemon games?
A. Unforutunaly, no. I learned by my myself and ended up making my own game. I recomend trying various things and then just testing them. Soon you should find out what the controls mean/do.

Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2? That one sucks. I only use 1.7.2's debugger version for anything.

Link to 1.8.0 instead.

In any case, it's nice to see
- A ROM hack, instead of just a bunch of codes
- A GBA hack, because the poor GBA is losing attention :\

If the GBA didn't have all those nice Fire Emblem games I'd probably pull out of GBA hacking because of how
outdated it is, but since it does I recently went through the trouble of
patching the text decompression routine of Fire Emblem 7 to allow loads of raw text :3

I extracted the save file, but it doesn't work... ask alpha dog to export it as a gameshark snapshot and it will be loadable.

EDIT: I found missingno.!!!!

Step 1. Start the game.
2. DO NOT get a pokemon yet!!!
3.Climb the stairs in the lab.
4. Fight Lugoa or Ho-oh. (Iknow it works with Ho-oh)
5.Look at the lvl 0 pokemon with 0 health and 0 atacks!

EDIT2: the save is busted. I did EVERYTING that culd make it playable, but it is busted.

As soon as I figure out how to use the tool well, I want to start hacking leaf green. Hacking pokemon games looks like fun
EDIT*: I figured out how to use Advance Map! Yay! I can hack leaf green now!! My older brother heard a (fake) rumor back when it was only red, blue, and yellow about bills house. It was supposed to be a second safari zone, so I'm gonna make it! lol this is gonna be fun

i tried loading this on advanced map but it won`t work.

I was gping to make a leaf green hack, but im too lazy to get a save patch for my rom, so im making it for firered instead. You wanna help with it pokewiz99? I plan on adding a town or two, and messin with a few of 'em. There used o be a rumor for red blue and yellow about going behind bills house and finding a togepi. So, I plan on adding a second safari zone filled wit rare pokemon, and also editing the first one. And as a little joke, trap Prof. Oak in the little area (like the pokemon outside the safari entrance) and put a sign in front making fun of him or something. lol And, remember in the older games how you could (with a gameshark) fly over the pallet town border and find tall grass? (until you walked and it froze...) I'll probably make an area back there too. Thats all my ideas for now, but Ill think of some more later, and hopefully find a way to hack the credits to ad our names

if you ment me, I'll make legendaries, yes. But I don't plan on making level 100 pokemon, unless it's some designated area or something. But you can find lower level legendaries in my hack. For instance, not to give too much away, but in Pallet town, I added tall grass, where you can find all the starters. YES, ALL starters from ALL games. Also, Mew can be found here, just because its not normally in the game. Mewtwo stays in it's awesome cave ^.^ OMG that gives me and idea. Mewtwo cave, AND Mew cave! Awesome! lol

Dude this is gonna rock... downloading the rom on my good comp, so should start hacking soon

casnt wait for the end result Anybody know what to use to change/insert your own text on signs and stuff? Or maybe even add your own music perhaps?
