Is it possible to use the GCN AR to hack GBA games via the Game Boy Player? Perhaps this could give more cheats for older systems due to the greater expressive power of the GCN AR compared to a GBA AR (or especially the GBx AR). |

Is there a technical limitation that prevents this? After all, at the AR level, it's just a bunch of values in memory. Is it because the game data is inaccessible to the AR? |

It's not possible. Only the system the AR is intended for can use it. For Ex.= GCN AR for GCN ONLY. |

But isn't the Game Boy Player just another GameCube program? What prevents you from using a GameCube AR to hack the Game Boy Player program just like if it's another GameCube game? |

The GBA player had actual GBA hardware in it. (Not an emulator) |

I still don't get it, because I fail to see why "actual GBA hardware" vs "GBA in emulation" would have an effect on hacking the Player with the GCN AR. Is it because the Game Boy Player does not make use of the GameCube's memory space for GBA memory (instead merely using the GameCube for video out only), or is the GBA memory space just merely inaccessible to the AR (ie. if I were to install a remote debugger on the GameCube, which would theoretically give me access to the entire GameCube memory space, would I still be able to hack the GBA memory space via the GameCube memory space)? |

The only thing the GameCube does is send video output from the GBP to the TV. The GameCube has absolutly nothing to do with what goes on with the GB game's program and memory- the GBP hardware does all of that. |

well, the answer was already given in one sense. it has Game Boy hardware in it, thusly, it's own RAM. the only reason you need a disk is to give the gamecube instructions on what to do. the AR only hacks the GCN RAM, not any extensions RAM. |
