The 3.50 downgrader was released today giving all PSP owners a chance to explore the wonders of PSP homebrew, emulators and other stuff that Sony doesn't support. Works on any motherboard, even TA-082 and up. The game "Lumines" is required for the downgrade, and a PSP with firmware 3.50, which you can just upgrade to if you don't have it. (currently the latest firmware as well.) Here is a video of the downgrade in process: http://www.dailymotion.com/masterketchup/video/4008934 Check out http://www.noobz.eu for more info, src of the downgrade is included in the download pack. Edit: Just uploaded a video of what the N64 Emulator, Daedalus, looks like on the PSP. It's not full-speed but the creator, StrmnNmrn, is doing a great job so far with the updates. If PSP weren't a Sony product, I'd want one now. |

Until the iPhone, DS and PSP are the best sold portables until today. Ds is a year older then the PSP, anyways. The PSP is more up-to-date. Take that, rofl |

It isn't that the PSp sucks, its just that most people have no reason to buy a PSP if they have something that can do everything it can do. The DS does have a larger selection of good games (TO this day I sill play meteos) I can play movies on it as well as music and I can play homebrew games as well. For online internet browsing there is the DS Opera system, DSLinux, and (though unsure) DSOrganize (i hink it goes online) *shrugs* I know the PSP has its strong points (since I have owned it before i gave it to my sis to use) but those strong points are often covered up by many other sources that came out before hand and do the same thing it can. (my home made PC made before the PSP came out for example) Its a matter of trying to show the PSP being capable of doing something new, or doing it in a manner that is better than the majority of things out there. |

As with pretty much all Apple products, there are better, cheaper alternatives. Unless you're talking about the PSP, in which case, as with all Sony products, there are better, cheaper alternatives that won't explode, install rootkits, randomly fail to work "to prevent piracy", etc. |

I don't feel that taking my emulators on the go is a compelling reason to purchase a system. |

This thread was just based on a downgrader and a little emulator for the people who have a PSP. No need to be a stereo-type. Me and HyperHacker were just having a conversation until you come butting in like you're supposed to be some hero. Huh? wrote: great that awsome but i have a question. Oh, and there will be no reason to update to the latest firmware. You can just upgrade to custom firmware. It allows you to run homebrew and still play the latest games. |

Me and HyperHacker were just having a conversation until you come butting in like you're supposed to be some hero. Firstly, I didn't say you had said that. I understand that you might not be able to understand the tone of my comment over the Internet, but you seemed to have assumed it to be an attack. Secondly, this is a public message board. If you want to have a conversation that no one else may participate in, you should take it to PM. Thirdly, I don't know where your "hero" comment came from. I didn't do anything remotely heroic. |
