Got a Novell network running Windows 98/98se? Here's how to get to the MS DOS prompt at any time you want.

First! Navigate to k-meleon or firefox's web site.

Download it and choose OPEN. Not Save.

Let it install, make sure you've chosen for it to start after the install.

In the address bar, type c:\.

Click on Command.com.

Click Save.

Navigate to wherever the hell Paint or another program you have access to as a student/worker is.

Save Command.com over Paint.exe.

Tada. Now you have access to the command prompt at any point in time. No USB access, no cracking, no modifying any files except for paint.

This will allow you to run any file on the computer, including your braaaaaand new browser you installed to get access anyway, which will allow you to download things.

Better: Open Notepad, go to File->Open, navigate to command.com, right-click, Open. I found this out ages ago, if you tried to open \Windows it wouldn't let you, but if you used Notepad the open/save dialog was already in \System32, so you were free to goof around. :P

Bah! My way's fairly foolproof and accopmlishes most of what I'd want at once.

I'm at school right now sitting next to Ironjoey, Kodewerx was blocked just used the https method. I have novell at my school version 3.2.3. When I go to save command.com I can not navigate to any programs because the C drive is blocked. Is there anything to be done?
