Take control of your Wii’s DVD Drive…

It’s the ultimate aid for the hardcore tinkerer and amateur programmer. With Drive Doctor for your Nintendo Wii, you can gain a unique insight into the under-the-bonnet operation of your console.

With Drive Doctor in place, you can connect your Wii to your PC using a USB 2.0 cable. You can then review its innermost operations, watching the software in action. I saw this earlier at MaxConsoles, it was great, untill I readed you have to mod the console (I mean work with soldering irons)...

9th amendment allows anyone to to what they want with their stuff (generally, provided that their actions do not fall into anything in the penal codes).

If Datel were to market this as their own (a modded Wii, the whole thing), Nintendo might get upset, but I don't know off hand if that would be illegal. But if Datel markets a product that can be attached to the Wii by the proprietor, than its legal, just not very smart.

but using those is dependant on certain hardware...like flash carts (in some cases...I haven't used R4DS before though so I'm not sure)

I think all it is for me is that I like being able to see exactly what I'm doing and know exactly how something is doing what its doing...thats why I like soldering and hardware stuff...

I guess its just my life choice :lol:
