The most fundamental aspect of hacking is learning to search for information yourself, rather than asking for it. Asking a computer for something won't anger the computer, because the computer is your bitch.

1 Significant bit with no shift from the ones place, so the mantissa in bits 22-0 is just a bunch of 0's.

¾ = 3*2^-2

Sign is +; bit 31 is 0.

Power is -2, but there are two significant bits, and the highest order bit is left shift 1 from the ones place, so it must be shifted right by 1. This means the power of 2 must be increased by one to keep the value the same. The power is now -1.

-1+127 = %01111110

Take out the highest order bit from the significant bit string to get the mantissa, which is then %10000000000000000000000.

The next step is usually the hard stop for many people as it requires you to spend some money (NO ROMS and Emulators PLEASE!) on a code generator (aka trainer) like the old Interact Game Shark or the Action Replay for DS and the Tool Trainer kit. This is going to set you back around $70 - $90. Then you need to try RE-HACKING simple codes already hacked for learning purposes. You are going to use the concepts described in the HACKING TEXT for instance, like infinite money, health, bullets...whatever...the key is SIMPLE things. Learn to Crawl before you Walk. Patience and more important endurance are going to be your allies. Trust me...some of the harder codes are hard not because they are really any different than the simpler codes...it is because of the time and cleverness it takes to hack them...and that means patience and endurance. If you think I am joking then know it took me many hours to get some of those Clubhouse Games codes I came up with. I wish you luck. You are coming into the game when code hacking is getting harder than ever to do. Many of us old timers had it easier because the codes were simpler several years ago. That is exactly why I keep saying to hack simple codes, i.e., 8 bit codes, then 16 and finally 32 bit CONSTANT write codes...meaning, codes that are on ALL the time and writing to memory every 1/8 second or whatever the refresh period is now-a-days. You must go back to basics. You must have patience. You must want this...and have the eye of the tiger dude.

Maybe I should quit trying to learn to hack things for now.

Reasons:

1.)I'm only in the ninth grade
2.)I'm 13 years old (soon to be 14 in October )
3.)I know nothing about programming.
4.)I'm Asian (sorry if you were surprised about this )
5.)I don't have any money to buy hacking software or hardware.

Maybe I should take another shot at it in a few years, and once I learn programming and all that stuff.
