Here at school, they lifted up their main proxy. Still, they have one enabled, Kodewerx is still blocked.

However, type in something before kodewerx like so:
http://someword.kodewerx.net/forum/

This can be done on other websites too, you can get mobile versions up onto your browser.

Myspace has:
m.myspace.com

Facebook:
m.facebook.com

This does not work on every site and it depends on the proxy they are using.

Title: All in a day's work.
We just setup a Squid proxy at work, and have all outbound traffic to ports 80 and 443 redirected to it. The purpose is to block porn sites, and randomly audit the web browsing habits of 5 people per month.

The easiest way to get around it is setting up an ssh server at home, ssh into it from work, and use lynx or w3m to browse (text mode) anywhere you like with complete secrecy. You might also be able to port-forward X sessions and start Firefox remotely, but it will only work if the firewall is badly configured.

A better solution is setting up a CGI proxy at home, running with HTTPS on a non-standard port. You can also go a bit further and set it up to require HTTP Basic Auth, so even if they discover an encrypted outgoing connection to some strange port, they won't be able to figure out what it is just by connecting to it.

Title: "Hacker"
At my school they have a whitelist for login fields, I can't login so I don't even visit Kodewerx. Using a CGI proxy is a bad idea(At school) and I actually got suspended for a while because of them.

Well obviously if you get caught using any circumvention method you'd be in trouble.

That's the beauty of the method I explained: With HTTPS, no one can monitor the data you are sending/receiving, which means they cannot block password fields, or images, or anything. On a non-standard port, they won't spot the connection as a visit to an unauthorized website. If you used port 21, for example, any automated network sniffing software would only see it as a connection to an FTP server, and would unlikely attempt to block it or flag it as suspicious activity.

Exactly, HTTPS helps me. Sad thing is, Safari sucks bad when it comes to the HTTPS protocol.
