Just in case anyone is wondering...

GameID: YNME 3845BE21

EDIT: Hmm....just tried all 3 codes in an R4DS. None of them worked. Not complaining, just sayin'.

Cheats don't work on any flashcard with cheat support

Cheats don't work in no$gba 2.5c here
All ghosts vulnerable cheat, makes just 1 ghost vulnerable every time

Ugh, I'll can confirm this with No$gba.

And if none of the codes worked on the R4 DS at all, maybe there's an emulation bug or a problem with Renegade 64.... (I hacked these with 2.5b, the lat version I have a R64 hook for)

I'll have to take a second look at these tomorrow. No telling what I screwed up. (And I don't have time tonight.) Thanks for the responses guys.

*EDIT* I seem to remember there being a problem with my Renegade 64 emulator hook now that I think about it. I'll have to re-hack these tomorrow.

Seems all the addresses were off by 8. I guess I'll need to find a new pointer to hook No$gba with... <_<

I updated the original posts with codes that should work. Note that although the display for lives in Pac Man won't be hacked, you *will* have infinite lives. I'd hack the display but I'm out of time and have to do school work now.
Also, because I'm in a hurry, I didn't thoroughly test the ghost vulnerability code. But it should work.

The ghost vulnerability code just make one ghost roam the stage as a set of eyes while pac-man can't move at all.

well it actually slows pacman to the point of one dot per 20 seconds.

and the other codes dont work either, at least not on the DS
I keep getting game over

Wtf? It certainly didn't do that in the emulator. I'm thinking I'm gonna blame the emulator or R64 on this one.. again. Someone with a TT may have to look into these.

The infinite lives one should have worked, too. :? Oh well, I'll have a thorough look at this later this week.

yea, I was thinking it would work this time. I don't know either though. Maybe someone else can help you out.
I do appreciate the work you put into this though.
Think it might be easier to make them for Codebreaker?

It makes no difference which device I format the code for. Codebreaker just formats the codes slightly different. It would still be the same code.

No go,

It just makes the level unfinishable

When you eat the last dot, you keep running over an dotless screen with the ghosts chasing you, when you die, randomly dots appear again, eat them and you just keep on running till you die again and run out of lives, you can't finnish level 1 :D

It seems that this game is hacking-intolerant. It seems that if certain values are set (ghosts being vulnerable, for example) and the level is cleared the next level will never load.

Garvedor's lives codes should work, giving you 3 lives that never deplete. It seems that I have the wrong hook with Renegade yet again... I guess I'll just use HasteDS. :P

i suggest you to use hasteds, that's what i use. just make sure you pause no$gba between searchs, because hasteds has some problems with updating values.

just by looking at this, i may say that the address is not always fixed. games don't tend to use high ranged addresses to store fixed data blocks. and since it's not working for the other guy, it's probably what happens.

The address are definitely not fixed for those 2 games,
for example, if you boot up the game with this code:
Galaga inf lives, 0227CC34, when you first play Galaga you'll get inf lives, but if you exit Galaga then re-enter again without playing any other games, then the code will not work (address will change to 022A561C). And, if you exit Galaga, play another game, then re-enter Galaga then the address will change back to 0227CC34.

If it works on R4, how come it doesn't work on an AR, I thought all the code addresses for the games are the same on all devices, AR, CB, R4...?

Try this on an AR
Galaga
Lives
5227CC34 00000002
2227CC34 00000005
D2000000 00000000

The R4 uses an older version of the AR remember?
perhaps thats whats causing it to mess up?

Are you trying this on an actual AR? I need someone to confirm which code gives you "a set of eyes" on an AR?? cuz the actual address will not be far away a set of eyes :)

Actually, I think all the games in there uses 2 different addresses to store the values. That's why ppl are complaining the codes don't work.

updated the Pac-Man Codes
