I thought I'd take a look in No$ to see how it ran things with the game. And oddly enough, it didn't seem to make a difference, no matter what I changed in the game.
Yet on my hardware it did.
Now it makes me wonder whether the AR implementation on the AceKard's is a little off kilter.
I'm testing the IPS... BTW, I wrote my own IPS program for all of Cracker's IPS trainers

It's on the AceKard forums for people to use. I guess it's not needed as they can just use the AR codes now. Oh well, it was fun to write.
Interesting with the IPS patch... It does, but doesn't seem to work. I get the changed text right at the beginning, but not the menu, and not the cheats either.
I may be that the AceKard does some strange things to the rom, I'm not sure.
Aaah, bingo, I turned off some settings (IGR and AR options) and the next thing I see is the trainer menu.
Thanks

Edit: I tested the non IPS patched version with the AR Codes and IGR set to off, on the AceKard RPG, and whaddya know, it worked fine.
So it seems that the IGR code causes the AR Codes to stop working in some cases.
