Here is a list of the different values effects (might not be accurate) : 00 make them always chase you, 01 make them stop moving, 02 makes them run away, 03 make them ignore you, 04 make them fly away, 05 make them chase you then stop, 06 make them go forward you (but not chase you if you move), and anything else will be like 03. Edit : added a line to make the monsters not flee by default if you're too strong (ie. they'll obey the action you choosed). |

As codemartin asked me already (for the monster list ; but that's the same thing for the skill list, or any other list), and I answered, I'll copy and paste that answer : Quote: Well. It's a bit complicated, and require some knowledge. You need either the real game and the TT, or the rom and an emulator. Then you need to find out how the text is encoded (because games usually 'encrypt' their text). To achieve that, you need to find a place where some know text is stored (for exemple, your monster's name, at 0x020B3D8C). Then you change the first number with another, and you see the name of your monster change. As I knew the monters' list had a "slime" in it, used the trick I just mentionned to find out the value of the text "slime" for the game. It's 37 30 2D 31 29 (in lowercase) As the first character could be in uppercase inside the game, I then searched the rom for these values '302D3139' (="lime"). And I found some. From there it was different : I looked how the text was put in the rom, I found there were some big table of addresses that points to the different messages, and every message finish with FF, and then I wrote a tool to extract them. I still had some tweakings to do with my tool, as there were special characters (like ', -) that I didn't knew the value in the game. But I added them, and I had a full list of the monsters. I also looked at the censor list, it's funny to see they put bad words from every langage... That's because of your R4 (same for M3). They have some bugs with the E (and F) codes types, caused by their stupid "realtime cheats on/off" (which inserts some stuff inside the AR code handler). You need to stop enabling it to fix the codes problem. The code you posted obviously works because it doesn't use the E.. code type. |
