That, and making a walk on water based off of Luigi's ability allows you to have that nifty "wake" effect of the water splashing under your feet. Unfortunately, Luigi's skill forces you to be moving to stay on the water. I'd have to find the check of your speed and kill it. I couldn't find a way to give others Luigi's ability because it seems that the character number that is read to determine abilities is not the one that is modified to change which character your are playing as (character number gets copied all over the data).
Interestingly, I was messing with character number, and managed to get Yoshi to have an out of body experience. I was controlling an invisible character while Yoshi stood silently by. I changed another number to match my character change and the Yoshi dummy disappeared; at the same time, I became visible as Luigi, and my map now showed me as a Yoshi wearing a Luigi hat outside of the castle, where no such hat is available.
I did in fact plan on giving Yoshi the ability to break blocks like the other characters can, and the ability to punch. Yoshi deserves to be more brutal than he is.
I'd also like to make an infinite egg code, and maybe get some sort of machine gun eggs firing...maybe nop the distance check for how close an enemy must be for the egg to chase after it, which would then allow an egg to be thrown and hit every enemy on a map XD
Shame that this computer runs too slow for all those nice hack ideas to be sought after by me.
