I figured out where the name data is stored. Even better, it looks like you can put symbols in your name (Sorry if this is possible even without the hacks but I can't figure out how to do it).

Is there any way you can make it work on wifi? always car.plane etc?

Ok, I did.

I stumbled upon a very awkward code.



I have tested it in Standalone racing mode and in adventure. In standalone mode it freezes the top screen's 3D graphics as soon as the race starts. In adventure mode, it seemed to freeze the top screen's 3D graphics at a random point in the race. Note, that compared to the vast array of things this code may affect, I have done little testing and it is safe to consider this code UNSTABLE as it seems to crash the game at random points when the top screen's 3D graphics are in use. Also note that upon finishing a race or quitting the code will crash the game completely.

Also, I think you've seen this before, I think this might be able to help you with making codes. I dont know anything about AR, so I'm just taking a wild guess here.

According to that file, your copy of the ROM is very corrupted.

EDIT- I guess the fact that when you "hack" the ROM and and repack it, it patches into 0Kb has something with the fact of it being corrupted.

As soon as I got it offline, I ran it through NDStool; and outputted to a text file.


So It's "clean"; but according to para, its corrupted.

Well, the CRC32 is correct. Perhaps the problem is just that ndstool and/or DarkFader sucks.

The reason codejunkies did not create anything interesting was because they could not. That game is next to impossible to hack. Kenobi took a shot at it and got working sort of. I have been meaning to re-read his post about what he tried and continue working on it (or try anyways). Best of luck to anyone else who takes a shot at it.

Wow, and contributing nothing to the matter except a few capital letters and exclamation marks isn't ?

Rare always make their games near impossible to hack, every one of them is like that for some reason. I suppose someone who was dedicated to that one game could make some decent codes eventually.

So STILL there are no codes?! If you have some, PLEASE post them! Wifi or not, anything that won't crash the game and isn't on codejunkies will be great!
