Note: Like Portrait I found no corruption of saved data. You cannot play the Boss Rush Mode unless you have started a game and saved it in the regular start game mode. Enjoy!

Hmmm would it be possible to make an actual give all weapons code? The one on CJ's doesnt' give you 9 of everything.

Post subject:

Oh no! Another messed up code on CJ? Ok...give me a little while to look into this one too. I am sure I can fix this quickly for you.

Edited: The range of address' fell short of giving all 79 weapons...and the set value on some of them was wrong to begin with.

Thanks Macrox, works perfectly. Now if by any chance you could fix the Have all Accessories code? It seems they messed up there aswell with it not giving you two items (could it be possible to have them charged up to 9 aswell?)

Thanks again.

EDIT: Seems the Have All Items code doesn't give you everything aswell...

Author:  macrox [ Sun May 06, 2007 6:17 pm ]
Post subject:

You are right. As per our conversaton on MSN...I found the right code for accessories

Have all Accessories
d5000000 99999999
c0000000 00000008
d6000000 020f7207
d2000000 00000000

Have all Items
d5000000 99999999
c0000000 00000008
d6000000 020f71bc
d2000000 00000000

I could make a super code to just have everything...but let's not do that. I am sure there might be some AR gamers that want to have each item...well..itemized...but I am not going to spend the time doing that when I have other things to work on yet.

Now, can you make a have all souls which can level at ridiculous levels code?

Like.. if you have over 9 Buer souls you start to get more and more fireballs until it's a solid ring. I'd like to see what all the different souls would do.

Let me see what I can do.

Ok. I think I got them all...

Have All Souls (Bullets, Guardian and Enchant)
d5000000 99999999
c0000000 00000004
d6000000 020f70d0

d5000000 99999999
c0000000 00000003
d6000000 020f70ec
d2000000 00000000
d5000000 99999999
c0000000 00000004
d6000000 020f70fc
d2000000 00000000

This includes Ability Souls! I am counting 7 of these types. I tried setting the values higher than 9 but it does not seem to do anything...sorry.

I tested this code and with all the other codes above...everything works fine...no save game corruptions. I think you are good to go. ciao.

Works for the throwing weapons mostly and that makes the most sense. I strongly advise you also use have infinite MP since this code will deplete your MP very fast otherwise. edited as per Zeld's suggestion. Assign weapon to Y and match the choice of activator.

Reply to Zeld: The activator I initially choose works fine for the claim it was cited for. The difference in choosing another activator that matche the choice of the weapon use button is of course better and for that reason I took your suggestion on changing it. In essence the initial choice was like having two activators conflict each other. You point is well taken on choosing a button that better mates to the in game function. Thank you my friend.

I messed around with the rapid fire code while discussing it with King Rhyono and macrox himself in an AIM chat room.

The code works by resetting your actor position to make the game think you are standing on the ground normally and aren't attacking (and if you aren't attacking, you are able to attack again; hence, you can attack repeatedly this way).

This code changes the activator to L. You need an activator or else you'll be unable to move from the "standing" position, which will keep you from jumping and keep you from using weapons that take a long time to attack with.

94000130 fdff0000
020ca93c 00000001
d2000000 00000000

Use a bullet soul or swing/fire a weapon, then press L to cancel the wind down lag, and you will be able to attack again immediately after pressing L.

Sometimes you can even hold down L to use the code easier. This is usually the case with the super attack of the Claimh Solais and the Death Scythe, as well as most of the bullet souls.

Otherwise, don't hold down L, and instead just press it after the weapon or attack deals damage to the enemy.

Mad props to macrox for finding this wonderful address. This code has very many uses.

You can "Succubus" with the code by pressing L while using a warping special attack. This works with the back stab super that is normally used for succubussing, as well as the super jump attack that you can do with axes such as the golden axe, which will allow you to go through ceilings. ^_^

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevnia: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

I appreciate the note of thanks....however...using L as the activator still has me not being able to jump. I cannot endorse this change at this time.

King, Zeld and I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to sort this code out in terms of what it works with in Souls and Arms and at the same time, trying to insure it did not mess up other actions. It was apparent we were getting mixed results as sometimes the change of activator worked for one but not the others. Discussion continued around the possibility the games we had were different version...inconclusive at this point.

Branding the code BETA is the best thing for the time being. THAT MEANS: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! It would be very helpful if other members of KW and GSHI could test the codes for us to get more data points. I am also working on rapid fire for Portrait of Ruin...and I hope this results in a code a little more determinant than what we have now.

Thanks....and I am deeply sorry for calling you Zelda....just sign me maalox.

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevnia: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

*waves to Zelda* What's that look for Zeld? I like her! Anyway, mac and I seem to have the same version, Zeld most-likely included, so I currently don't understand why I can't use more than a special attack from most of my weapons. My best explanation is that the code is reseting my character (as Zeld said), resulting in restricted movement, keeping most weapons from working. However special attacks from my weapons and souls are rapid fire for me.

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

Has anyone come up with, or CAN come up with, a max LUCK code?

Using the one posted here, on the US version of the game, nothing happens at all. This code was posted somewhere else (codemasters maybe?) and someone said the code changed their STR instead of LUCK...it just doesn't work at all for me.

I have the EU version as well, and the Max LUCK code SHOWS you have 255 luck, but it doesn't have any actual effect on the game. If I unequip something, or change my equipment in general, my luck modifier will be minus whatever the difference is between 255 and my actual luck.

I've looked all over the place for a WORKING luck code, and I can't seem to find one. I'm using an R4, most recent firmware update, etc. and all the other codes work just fine, but not the luck one...

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

Finally figured out how to get addresses out of Cheat Engine, so here are the first codes I made while trying to learn how to search for things.

Lv 99 (with exp set to 0 for aesthetics >_>)

220F740C 00000063
020F7448 00000000

Def base 9999, STR 9999, CON 9999, INT 9999, and LCK 9999 (you can set higher probably, but this already lets you OHKO everything with black panther or unarmed)

120F736E 00001388
120F7370 0000270F
120F7372 0000270F
120F7374 0000270F
120F7376 0000270F

I tested these on no$gba and on my CV: DoS copy, so they should work, let me know if anything is wrong/could be improved.

Edit:

So I was looking for what determines how fast Soma moves and sort of found it I think. I made these two codes which make you move pretty fast, but need you to slide in order to be mapped to left/right, and for some reason in the air it makes you keep whatever up/down momentum you have. Going left is a bit faster than to the right, I'm looking into why that is, as it seems like I missed another variable for determining speed.

Fast Sliding:
94000130 FFDF0000
220CA93D 00000007
120CA968 FFFF0001
D2000000 00000000
94000130 FFEF0000
220CA93D 00000007
120CA968 0000FFFF
D2000000 00000000

There's also a version that doesn't make you slide, but you have to hit L or R, which is awkward. Luckily I ended up finding the status modifier thing while searching for the speed modifier (which seems to be the same line that macrox found forever ago), but if anyone wants to collaborate on a way to get rid of that or change it into something better I'd be up for trying.

Also, a code that can be used with R+Direction. It more or less replicates the Succubus glitch, but also lets you move at any time, even during cutscenes, so press R + select if you mess something up. Let me know if it's too fast/slow and I can change it.

Fly Anywhere (Hold R+Direction, R+Select to reset):
94000130 feef0000
d9000000 020ca95c
d4000000 00010000
d6000000 020ca95c
d2000000 00000000
94000130 fedf0000
d9000000 020ca95c
d4000000 ffff0000
d6000000 020ca95c
d2000000 00000000
94000130 febf0000
d9000000 020ca960
d4000000 fffe0000
d6000000 020ca960
d2000000 00000000
94000130 fe7f0000
d9000000 020ca960
d4000000 00020000
d6000000 020ca960
d2000000 00000000
94000130 fefb0000
020ca95c 00060000
020ca960 0007f000
d2000000 00000000

This part can be used alone as a save for a Succubus Glitch gone wrong (R+Select):

94000130 FEFB0000
020CA95C 00060000
020cA962 0007F000
020CA96C FFFFFF00
d2000000 00000000

I'm going to probably try to make a go through wall code, but the game doesn't load rooms if you go up through a ceiling into one, so I'll look into a code that reloads the map at certain points or something (which actually is looking harder than making a go through wall code >_>).

Invisibility (As far as I can tell):

120CA965 0000FFFF

Invincibility:

220CA9F3 00000033
120CA9F4 00003333
220CAA24 00000033

Now works with everythng. There may still be trouble with picking up souls when played on an emulator, but that's pretty minor.

I've actually never SG'd so I don't know what the glitched Buer looks like, this is as many as I've been able to do (setting the soul to F instead of just 9). Is this the max or does the SG somehow get you more (which I can look into probably).

hi there _o/

I've been tryin' to make these codes work on a COS: DOS rom I have here, it's in english so I believe it's for USA and America, but I can't seem to make the codes work; tried putting them in the ACTION REPLAY box, checking and clicking OK, then nothing happens.

Is there a enabler code that will help me? because there isn't any posted here.

I'm using no$gba 2.6a and my DOS rom filename is lgc_cvds.nds

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

I had that problem the first time I tried to use it as well, I just left it alone for a couple days and it went away. >_> But one thing that does happen is after so many codes, it'll stop working, even if I try to make new ones that are copies of older, working ones, and what solves that is just to find the 'no$gba.CHT' file and either delete it or move it to a different folder, and then when you restart no#gba it'll usually work. If that fails, try to just copy the .exe to a different folder and run it there.Terrible solutions, but as you can see, it doesn't really make sense why the AR stuff doesn't work.

Also, lol @ this:

Image

I guess the game doesn't like my attempts at changing Soma into Alucard. That's supposed to just be a save room.

Although, thanks to that blunder, I think I have a way for the floaty things in the save room to follow you around, which I think would be cool >_>

Now see the result of that thinking, Soma's magical trip to Wonderland: http://img514.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24346055ji6.jpg

Apparently the data for the floating orbs is also used for many other things. Oops.

O.o wow

that result sure was trippy LOL

heh. well, actually, I've used only a couple of codes, like lvl. 99 and getting all souls. I'm getting to the abyss, got most of the weapons and itens I wanted but I was sick of trying to get some particular souls for 100% and the chaos ring. I'll try changing the .cht/.exe file location and see what happens.

Post subject:  Re: [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow [U] [AR]

A couple new codes:

Improvement on the rapid fire code (for bullet souls):

0234FBA4 0234E3B8
2234FBA0 00000001
2234FB90 00000001
2234E3BA 00000001

This one works by changing the duration of the "throwing" animation for bullet souls, making them equal to one frame. Therefire, you don't have to press anything to cancel it, thereby avoiding the problem I had with macrox'.

Here's the same idea but for using the handgun/othergun.

1234FCFC 0000F0F0
2234FCEC 000000F0
2234FCF4 00000020
2234F0F2 00000001
2234F122 00000001
2234FCE8 00000001
2234FCF0 00000001
2234FCF8 00000001

I will have to look into how the animations work for other weapons, but most all load from their different areas, so I'll have to see what I can find and consolidate them to.

I also almost have a code finished that makes a mode similar to the Sisters mode in PoR, but I'm just doing some little tweaks still and trying to get the same feel (and make it look nicer than it does currently).
