Title: Ancient Code Sage
I just went back and ran the code in single player mode vs CPU, and mission mode, and the code seemed to work just fine resetting to 10 with the up key. The code does not work in mult. player mode yet. (I will edit the code entry to reflect that.)

So unlike the Soda Pop code this one is showing a refresh on my screen in mult. mode but not on the other players screen. It is as if it is actually resetting the counter in single player mode but only refreshing the graphic in mult. mode. Or could it be since I transferred the game to the other DS that it loaded it into a different ram area and the address for my balloon count is different in the second DS than mine? I wonder if it would work if the second DS actually was running the game from a second game cart?

The only way I can see on solving this is to hook up the TT to the second DS, not mine, and search how my balloon count decreases WRT to the second DS. Maybe even trying the code on the second DS and seeing if anything happens....that might reveal if the address is truly the same or where exactly is has relocated.

I would like to know how it messed up your game...please.

I guess that would be rather easy to do...I am not sure but I think DS Man was looking into that at one point....I will put it on my to do list...all these loose ends of codes to hack.

Ok. This needs clarification... I am quite sure the code for getting strikes or spares will be rather easy in single player or mission mode. WiFi is a little harder as besides the code not having to be the same address( I saw this with Word Ballon)...there is also the graphics problem. If you read up...you will see I had the code to always get a 6 on the die with Ludo...and that is cool, except I cannot throw a 3 graphically and yet have the result be a 6...people will know there is slight of hand going on. So, hacking the actual image for the die would be somewhat obtainable as the die does come to rest quickly. The graphic for the path of the bowling ball is quite another all together. At this point I am not sure if I can adjust the x,y,z to be a path to a strike, maybe only 1 dimension needs to be controlled as the ball never leaves the ground so the x can be constant while the y does whatever as it goes down the lane...getting the result to be a strike is ok if you are playing the CPU...but another human being...no way. Well....I already have a lead into the graphics on this anyway...I was able to control the image of the pins being on screen....so let's just see where this goes...and of course...I always welcome my pals here to jump in to help. ttyl

Guess I still have the touch eh?

Always get a strike - Press up and hold for AR.

94000130 ffbf0000
021a458c 00000af0
022ff614 00000af0
022ff824 00000af0
022ffd4c 00000af0
d2000000 00000000

and for CB users: press up and hold. (CMX already has M code on their site)
11F883DB 30BF442C
69A3F360 5AD4F4C5
FD783227 7A96D087
6D7E3727 CA87542E
8C64828A 8BB83F4E

Note: the code works for any player so beware you don't press up when it is not your turn! So far codes works in free player, stamp and mission modes. JUST make sure you throw the ball with some force as I did not put the code that contols the momentum transfer to the pins in here...just throw is hard enough! DOES NOT WORK IN WIFI: tested. Oh and one more thing...since this does not work in WiFi at this time...going into WiFi Mode screws up the activator somehow. So as long as you stay in free player, stamp or mission you should be ok. UPDATE 5/26/2007. IT WORKS ON WiFi

sweet!
calling all eu 42 all time classics owners! these us codes for clubhouse games work for eu version. ive tried it. all my codes are us aprt from my game.
i found a discovery for that code! if you change the activater to a(for left handers like me) go on darts. throw a dart and press a(or any other activator) it flies left. this could get closer to gettin bulls eye code or guide dart code. any1 up for it? if any1 is making 1 make a left handed 1 and a right handed 1(left handed 1 should have (a,b,x,y). right handed should use the directional buttons.
its sweet! guide your/opponents dart left!!!!

Let me understand you correctly....you are saying this code makes the dart go to the left for Darts? And you are saying you want me to make a left and right hand verson for Bowling and Darts?

Edit: Sorry...I tried this code with Darts and I see no effect one way or another to alter dart path.

I think that is rather easy enough for anyone to do since all you need do is use the following to choose the right activator button:
Activator 1 (GBA buttons):
94000130 xxxx0000

For xxxx:
FFFE: A
FFFD: B
FFFB: Select
FFF7: Start
FFEF: Right
FFDF: Left
FFBF: Up
FF7F: Down
FEFF: R
FDFF: L

Activator 2 (NDS buttons):
927FFFA8 xxxx0000

For xxxx:
FBFF: X
F7FF: Y
DFFF: Debug Button (not available on commercial NDS)
7FFF: NDS not folded

To combine one or more buttons together, use bitwise AND:

(A & B) = (FFFE & FFFD) = FFFC

I threw the dart and it goes to the right not the left! It clearly is steering it to the right for me. If you want me to hack the code for getting a perfect inner bull's eye than I will when I come back to this game. Right now I am hacking Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow to get the unlock character, boss rush and sound modes like I did for the Portrait of Ruin. ciao

As stated above...you need a calculator to perform what is called bitwise AND operation. This is a logical operation and one of the group whose other members are NOR, OR, XOR, NOT and AND. Go online if you do not have a calculator that does logical arithmetic and look for a HP-16C emulator. Example: To combine one or more buttons together, use bitwise AND:

(A & B) = (FFFE & FFFD) = FFFC. Where the FFFE and FFFD are in hex based notation...yes the same as in the codes. So in this example you are asking A AND B to be logically added. For more on this bitwise operations either see the original Hacking Text or the new Text http://doc.kodewerx.net/index.html

i can combine these,
94000130 xxxx0000
FFFE: A
FFFD: B
FFFB: Select
FFF7: Start
FFEF: Right
FFDF: Left
FFBF: Up
FF7F: Down
FEFF: R
FDFF: L

but cant combine these with the ones above.
927FFFA8 xxxx0000
FBFF: X
F7FF: Y

how do i calculate deactivators?

Ok. So you cannot just use one activator for both the A and X buttons as they are different assigns of the GBA and DS. So you would do this:
94000130 FFFE0000 ( for the A button)
CODE GOES HERE
927FFFA8 FBFF0000 (for the X button)
CODE GOES HERE
D2000000 00000000

or you could so this:
94000130 FFFE0000 ( for the A button)
CODE GOES HERE
D00000000 00000000
927FFFA8 FBFF0000 (for the X button)
CODE GOES HERE
D0000000 00000000

As for the de-activator....not sure what you are asking here. The activator works when you press the button and stops working when you stop proessing the button. So the de-activator part is built into the very nature of this type of code. [s]Is this what you mean? If not...pray...do tell.[/s] I see from another locked post what you are asking for now...what you do is just choose another key to assign another activator for a DIFFERENT code value. [s]I did this way back in the day for Castlevania Legacy of Darkness for making the wolf-man turn back and forth at will from man to wolf-man and vice versa.[/s] Sorry, I see that was a dual activator I used back then...

Before this gets too far off topic...I cannot think of a venue of the game where you need this...do you have something in mind? I did give you a theoretical example above...where "code goes here" is anything. Let's say it was ball goes to the left by pressing A and ball goes right by pressing X.

Still working on the Bull's eye code for Darts; but found some other things nearby in the mem editor...

Bull's Eye Hit Counter always 10 (Mission mode only)
221a4370 0000000A

Start game over
94000130 ffbf0000
221a4375 00000000
d0000000 00000000

Always have 10 turns left
221a4390 0000000a

Position modifier for Dart on lower screen
021a4455c 00000080 (which is the x coordinate controller; default starting position)
021a4560 00000080 (which is the y coordintate controller; default starting postion)

so for instance

Press Up to center dart in orginal position
94000130 ffbf0000
021a455c 00000080
021a4560 00000080
d2000000 00000000

but I need to find how this maps to upper screen...as unlike the Bowling there seems to be a address change once the dart appears on the upper screen. I will also be looking the always get strike in Bowling as that code seemed to influence the dart path on the upper screen. Stay Tuned.

Nicky...the position modifier changes the position or location or the coordinates of the dart. Since I have the address' for the dart on the lower screen I feel I am getting closer to finishing the code to control the final position of the dart...meaning...make it hit the bull's eye. I strongly suggest you read either the Hacking Text I helped write and can be found here http://www.gscentral.org/tools/hackv500c.html or the new version of the Text which is here http://doc.kodewerx.net/index.html

EEKS!!!! The code is only for Mission Mode. It tricks the CPU into thinking you hit the Eye 10 tens...since you only need to hit it 3 times...you clear the mission. That is all it does.

no...it is more complex than that...but it thinks it hits the bull's eye 10 times...Mission Mode only.
