Has anyone had luck with the Infinite MP (in-battle) and/or Restore MP (after battle) codes?

So far, I've manually inputted the CB versions into a real CB and I've added the AR versions to a real ARDS via the GBATemp database file. I've checked, multiple times, all the codes I have in my devices versus what's been posted here and on Hiei's website.

Findings so far, using only ONE CODE at a time:

The Infinite MP code only works perfectly if EVERYONE has full MP *before* the fight. If someone doesn't have full MP at the start of the fight, my DS locks up after the after battle screen fades to black. This is true using both my CB and AR.

The Restore MP code just locks up the DS after the after battle screen fades to black. Only tried it on my AR so far. I suspect the CB will do the same thing.

side-note: the Infinite HP (in-battle) and Restore HP (after battle) codes are working.

Hiei, theres a bug (kind of) with your "walk through walls and move very fast" code, when you use it, any people on the screen you are on or vehicles (airships/hovercrafts) will also move positions with you.

and yes, there are 14 characters data block in the game. besides it should be 0C in AR version because the first write counts. first write + 0C = 0D

err math time...14 characters = E hex
Shouldn't it be first write + D = E?
So, C0000000 0000000D should be correct for all characters.

And, I have notice alot of people are using Jokers with the Select button mostly, not many Start, X, Y buttons. Here's a great tool for people who doesn't know other Joker combinations, google this: dskeycmk
Also, Y = 94000136 fffd0000 X = 94000136 fffe0000

Finally, after more testing on the Item (Decants) Mod Enabler code
Item Mod Enabler
220D8080 00000030
If you used value 30h (48) it means that 48 Slots had been used and if you have a only total 40 items in your bag, that means 8 slots will remain empty and the next item you get will be in slot 49. When ever the game touches an empty slot, the game will freeze.

ops, wrong count :P anyway, i've seen the datablocks, that's why i used 0D. then there are 13 characters only (at least the time i saw lol but if you have so certain of this, i'll edit my code to 0E).

ps: edited my cb codes (joined "Make Game Think You're Still Alive with HP 0" with --and edited-- "always good status", exp code and added a new one: Full EXP Earned)

LOL that's why i said to use only in world map, but the code actually works in dungeons which i suggest you to use the normal wtw code that i hacked.

Having problems with:

Max Item On Use, Max Item On Sort

Whenever I use the Max Item On Use, the item gets used up and dissapears from the inventory (Even items with more than 1)

When I use the Max Item On Sort, items quantity drop to 0, and if I move the cursos game freezes.

Anyone using any differe max item codes?

In regards to my other posts, I think the following code:

94000130 FFBB0000
020D7680 FFFFFE00
220D7684 0000003F
220D75A8 0000001C
120D758E 000011B1
D5000000 00001195
C0000000 0000001A
D7000000 020D7558
D4000000 00000001
D2000000 00000000
D0000000 00000000

Should teach Edge all black magic skills? At least that's what I gather from the Japanese code site.

Could someone convert that so it can be used on an American AR?

Thanks

Just add 170hex to the (J) addresses.

Is it as simple as using a hex calculator?

If I took this line:

120D758E

And added 170(hex)

I would get 120D76FE right?

But there's 22 sets of these lines. Would I have to add 170 hex to each line? Or only a few? And if I only need to add it to a few, which ones are necessary?

Thanks in advance.

There are 5 addresses in that code, so add 170hex to those 5 addresses.

How do I tell which 5 lines are the 5 addresses?

I've been trying to look at different codes for both the US and Japanese versions.

94000130 FFBB0000
020D7680 FFFFFE00
220D7684 0000003F
220D75A8 0000001C
120D758E 000011B1
D5000000 00001195
C0000000 0000001A
D7000000 020D7558
D4000000 00000001
D2000000 00000000
D0000000 00000000

From that code, I take it the "94000130" is fine and doesn't need to be changed. I think FFBB0000 has something to do with button activation (In this case, select + Up).

If I had to guess, are these the 5 addresses I need to alter and their altered states?

Original JP -> Converted to US

020D7680 -> 020D77F0
220D7684 -> 220D77F4
220D75A8 -> 220D7718
120D758E -> 120D76FE
020D7558 -> 020D76C8

So the finished US code would be:

94000130 FFBB0000
020D77F0 FFFFFE00
220D77F4 0000003F
220D7718 0000001C
120D76FE 000011B1
D5000000 00001195
C0000000 0000001A
D7000000 020D76C8
D4000000 00000001
D2000000 00000000
D0000000 00000000

Is that correct?

Sorry for bugging you so much. I've never actually done any of this before, and I'd really like some help with converting these codes.

The hyper code only causes minor issues - the NPCs still revert back or you can talk to them wherever they end up. Its a great code for guys like me that have already run the (J) version and just wanted a quick run through this game. What's great is it warps the airships too! Hold B for a while and the turbo kicks in.

Nice job Hiei-YYH!

My oops too, just played the game and found out that Golbez is not playable, so there are only 13 characters total.
So C0000000 0000000C is correct for AR All Characters codes.

That is correct. Address are usually in the form of 02xxxxxx, 12xxxxxx, and 22xxxxxx.

I ran the code on my test file (Separate from my main file) and well, looks like it works!

Edge even has access to spells like Pyroblast, Twin Meteor, and Ultima, and can dual cast them as well. Very interesting.

I only tested it a little in the underground, and everything seemed to run smoothly.

Thank you very much!

So I take it that to convert other codes from Japanese to US, I just have to find all of the addresses and use the same "add 170 hex" right?

Ok, I'm having an issue with the following code:

For some reason it seems like it isn't working in Lodestone Cavern.

LOL that's why i said to use only in world map, but the code actually works in dungeons which i suggest you to use the normal wtw code that i hacked.

oh, its a great code anyways even with that bug, i cant even play at normal speed anymore since its too slow for me lol, its great for speeding through the game on your 2nd/3rd playthrough.

Hold Select while accessing Bestiary

Works fantastically! A Note though that you have to scroll up and down WHILE holding select to get the monsters to appear on the list. Then exit out of the bestiary and go back in to get the percentile updated. It also will unlock the Zeromus suit for Rydia's summon.

Thankies! :D

Just curious, can you stack the "Item after battle" codes? Or should you only use those one at a time?

Also! Zemus tail? has anyone used that code yet and gotten something out of it? or is it just a dummied one? i can only image what the tail collector would give you for that!

Can't stack; one at a time. Tried it; either: froze the game, or didn't receive the item in inventory.

i tried all the tails codes, only the color tails are actual items, the zemus/omega and anything else tail are not real items, if you put the code for them in you dont get anything after the battle.

EDIT: Ok, I think I've found something.
This is the code as khuong posted it:
; No Random Battles
; L+R+UP = TURNS OFF RANDOM BATTLES
; L+R+DOWN = TURNS ON RANDOM BATTLES
94000130 FCBF0000
92117E58 00006D69
12117E5A 00002100
D2000000 00000000
94000130 FC7F0000
92117E58 00006D69
12117E5A 00001C49
D2000000 00000000
which is the one I'm using,
and this is the code as found in Narin's post:
::No Random Battles [L+R+UP=ON, L+R+DOWN=OFF]
:::Warning, may be glitchy
92117E58 00006D69
94000130 FCBF0000
12117E5A 00002100
D2000000 00000000
92117E58 00006D69
94000130 FC7F0000
12117E5A 00001C49
D2000000 00000000
In the first one the 92117E58 lines are within the activator and in the second one the 92117E58 lines are outside of the activators. Which version of the code is the proper one? I'm going to try the second one and see if it works any better.

Well, some thing happened. When I used the code by itself it worked fine, but when I used it along with the Infinite HP and Infinite MP codes I still get random battles. I'm in the Tower of Zot at the moment, if that makes any difference.

Well, I tried this code:
No Random Battles: [HOLD B]
92117E58 00006D69
02117E5A 00001C49
94000130 FFFD0000
02117E5A 00002100
D2000000 00000000
and I still get random battles.

Dang it! I've even tried this code:
No Random Battles: [HOLD B]
92117E58 00006D69
12117E5A 00001C49
94000130 FFFD0000
12117E5A 00002100
D2000000 00000000
and I still get random battles.

Can someone PLEASE make a No Random Battles code that actually works.

Actually, this one:
; No Random Battles
; L+R+UP = TURNS OFF RANDOM BATTLES
; L+R+DOWN = TURNS ON RANDOM BATTLES
94000130 FCBF0000
92117E58 00006D69
12117E5A 00002100
D2000000 00000000
94000130 FC7F0000
92117E58 00006D69
12117E5A 00001C49
D2000000 00000000
worked for early on in the game, but starting when I first got to Troia, when I try to use the code I still get random battles. :x
