Had this happen just once too often, where,

"You are rocking out a bit too hard! The Guitar Hero[TM] Guitar Grip[TM] was removed. Turn off the power and reinsert the Guitar Grip.", as a result of an accidental removal of the grip.

Use this code to stop that from happening.

BTW, Awesome to FNG for hacking the codes that are present. Did you do similar AR bypasses to hack these codes yourself?

Actually I was on Vacation last week, so I had a copy of the game sent to England... A friend / co-worker of mine over there, Fabrice, a.k.a. "bongsan", took care of the hard part for me while I was away. He provided me with the star power, score and rock meter information as well as this:

I tested and tweaked the star power code get it working 100% for people who play left / right handed... I also modified the score code he provided so I could give the AR users various options for easily modifying their score.... The unlocks / money codes were extremely simple to do since I finished the game numerous times while flying to/from my vacation destination and had a 100% unlocked save. The rest of the codes I'll be posting here & on codejunkies were also done by me.

Fabrice is a talented individual & I'm always grateful for his assistance.

dude for the codes that say UP, right, B and A, can you make them so that its all on one side? cuz i cant strum my guitar .

Okay, since I don't know what to do to block the keys from activating the star power for this version, your star power will always activate the moment it is ready. This is all on one side. The game becomes more unplayable, if it is on the D-Pad side, due to the fact that it is impossible to hit left+right or up+down at the same time, and sooner or later you will need the chords these combos generate.

Im thinking this code be modified to detect the lack of guitar grip, as the decision to switch to controller. (and potentially restore to guitar grip controls on its reinsertion.) IIRC, if you read 0x801FFFE, you should get 0xFF9F, if it is inserted, or 0xFFFF if it is not. (Open bus when there is nothing in slot 2.)

I'll try to simplify...
He believes it's possible to make the code automatically detect if the guitar grip is inserted. If it's inserted, the A, B, X & Y buttons won't do anything & the game functions normally.... If the grip is removed, the code would automatically make the A, B, X, & Y buttons act like the "Green", "Red", "Yellow" & "Blue" buttons on the guitar grip.

What he means by "if you read 0x801FFFE, you should get 0xFF9F, if it is inserted, or 0xFFFF if it is not. " is this...
The normal value at memory address 0x801FFFE is 0xFF9F when the grip is inserted... when it's removed the value is changed to 0xFFFF... that's useful information if you wanted to make an "intelligent code" that would auto detect if the grip is inserted or not.

I have just a request, Can it is possible to modify the buttton code (for playu without guitare grip) like this

X=green
y=Red
b=yellow
A= blue

I try to find the button value..... i'm skilled to make cheat on Gba but since the Ds is released I never make any cheat on it.

When you handle the ds like Me it is more logic.

I was wondering if you can make a No Strumming required code + a D-Pad AND Button combo use. Like this:

L= Green
R= Red
Left on D-Pad = Yellow

Or something like that.
