I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. I'm stuck in a point in the game where I need to use the L button, which is broken beyond hope. I've even opened it up to clean out the dust. So as a workaround, I want to use the walk-through-walls cheat. I'm using R4 Wood. Forewarning, I'm a total nub. It's only when pressing X to configure cheats for Chrono Trigger that the system freezes. Any other game, cheats works like a breeze. I've tried: - Enabling cheats in-game in both gen settings and individual rom. - Making sure the patched rom Game ID matches that of usrcheat.dat's. - Making sure there weren't too many codes... Stupid, I know. But I've had instances where I couldn't even load the cheat file in the editor because the file was too large. - Waiting for the DS to un-freeze. ...LOLNOPE. Considered: - It's patched, but could AP be blocking me from using cheats? In which case, should I try the anti-piracy bypass code...? I don't think I should, since I have a prepatched rom... - Throwing my DS violently against the wall. - It can't just be because one of the codes is faulty, right? That'd be silly. Yes, I do believe I need help. Please feel free to do so. I've searched, and the only really similar threads had no answer. |

Is the cheat file corrupt? Or maybe the file system is getting fragmented, and the programming that reads the cheat file may not support fragmented file reads. So a couple of suggestions to try:
