so on emucheat i narrowed down my search and found 3 addresses

2146D6
20AB9A
20F122

my desired values are all 01.

on enhacklopedia it says for an 8bit code type, you have
2XXXXXXX 000000YY

for YY i would put 01...but for XXXXXXX, there are 7 X's and i can only fill 6. What am i doing wrong here?

(that was the order that I found the addresses, although I doubt that matters). Am i supposed to put the value on each of the lines?

It depends on what you want to do. You do need a value, well, to be honest I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject.

Well 01 is my value. I'm not sure exactly how the code is supposed to be made.

I'm making a code in a Yu-Gi-Oh game to give me one copy of a single card. These 3 addresses control the one card. I think I need some kind of offset.

Sounds like emucheat lied. Or those addresses are sitting on the stack, meaning they will rarely be at the same address every time.

And Para, I tried all those combinations you told me and none worked.
