Title: The one who tried to speak to NDS AR... and fails!
Hi to everyone !!!
I'm new and I would like to ask some questions.

I've got a R4 and I've created my own cheat DB with R4 Cheat Editor program.
I've to say that I'm using only European roms.
The codes of games added, were taken from various internet sites (like codejunkies and others).
I suppose that these codes are for US roms, but I noticed that codes work also for EU roms but others not: some games (like Mega Man ZX) with US version codes allow the "(Y)Cheats" button in R4 roms selection screen, but others games (like Mega Man ZX Advent, Bleach The Blade of Fate, Dead'n'Furious) don't.
I think that it could be because of some EU roms have different game ID than US roms but I'm not completely sure of it.

The questions are:
can you explain me why some codes work for each US and EU roms and others not?
can you tell me how to find the roms ID?

Thanks to everyone guys !!!

P.S. Sorry for my poor english !!! :P

It's not just a game ID problem. Different regions get different versions of a game, so the ROM is different. That means the addresses represent different things than in a US ROM. In short, you need to make brand new codes.

Even though you bought a game in the UK, your game may still have differences from a US copy. Some are minor, like code cleanup and bug-fixes that most players won't even notice. Some are complete re-translations where dialogue was altered for a specific region (different censorship rules, marketing). There are even cases where they made the game support multiple languages.

*ROM refers to the data on the game cartridge
