Can someone please explain to me how I can get started into cracking nintendo ds game hacks?
I have no idea where to start and I am so confused.

I prefer the trainer toolkit method, once buying that I could explain it to you.
If you want to go the emulator road, Zeld or Hiei-YYH would probably be good on telling you the best things to get. I never really liked emulator hacking, but it is good if the game is unavailable or you don't care to buy it.
Once you need help on the actual hacking part of it, just PM me. I'll explain it in depth.

The docs are more useful when you actually know what you're doing. Like to reference on the hacks, not to learn from. I didn't use them at all though.
