I've heard about it before, but I don't know if its true, how can they have control of that, or is it just the game rules? |

They only ban for excessive hacking, like the MPH leaderboards. It's only a rumor on Pokemon, although it has never happened to me. Next time, goto Handheld Help |

Shut up NEo, you failure. As far as I am aware, I was the very first to have ever been banned, when I originally hacked my Metroid Prime Hunters score to place me at the top of the leaderboard with impossible scores. A few days after I did that, Nintendo banned my DS from their network. I was able to unban it by writing a homebrew program to change the WFC ID stored in my DS's firmware. A few days later, I received a call from a Nintendo representative asking if I would stop hacking the leaderboards, so I agreed and they apparently unbanned my DS and MyNintendo account soon after. So yes, it has been known to happen. |

I am told the program does not work on DS Lites. I'll have to research that before anything is ever released. |

Eh, I keep getting this error code whenever I go onto MPH with hacks on. 87001. Whenever I get it, I cannot get back online unless I restart my DS. More like a pussy session ban to me. ("We will ban you this time, be good next time.") **Edit** Found this on the support site. A network communication error occurred during the matchmaking process. What to do (Home): If you are playing Metroid Prime Hunters, we recommend powering off your Nintendo DS. Power it back on, and try connecting again. Our experience has shown this can help solve the specific issue. Connection issues can occur when there are large numbers of people playing online at the same time. If you are experiencing this error every time you try to connect, there could be a problem related to your firewall. For more information on firewalls and the Nintendo WFC, click here. If this error occurs only once in awhile or if you are at a Hotspot location, it is likely due to congestion on the internet or a connection problem being experienced by you or the other player(s). To ensure the connection isn't dropping on your end, check the following: Low battery power on the Nintendo DS (the light changes from green to red when battery power is low). Signal strength from the access point is low. Move closer and try again. Check for wireless interference. Devices such as cordless phones and microwave ovens should not be in use. If you continue to receive this error, please click here to view our troubleshooting information for further assistance. |
