I do believe Hidden Values are the same as Individual Values, which Serebii.net explains well.

I think they're bases that determine how much a stat will grow to, on a scale of, roughly, 0-31. Ex. If a Tyranitar has, say, 31 IV in HP, then his HP at Lv. 100 will go very high, somewhere in 400's or so. If another Tyranitar has maybe 24 IV in HP, then his HP at Lv. 100 will be somewhere in the upper-300's.

So, if you want a very-high stat pokemon, set the HV's to as high as possible. I think. Not sure, though.

Now then, does anybody know a solution to my problem with the AR codes?

when your editing a pokemon, there will be a "generate code" or something, and it should open up a new window and have different stats, and 2 question marks at the bottom. the left one is male the right one is female. with legendaries you can't choose the gender, of course.


and about my problems with my pokesave, well i think i found the problem. when i opened up one of the XML documents, it showed that the games were japanese versions. only english thing about it is that the words are in english. so i guess i'll be looking for a new pokesave lol.

Actually Individual Values determine the pokemons natural Individual base stats.
They don't change ever, but when the pokemon reaches its maximum stats they are higher because its starting stats were higher. Now Effor Vallues are what determines how much bonus(+#) is added to the pkmns stats when it levels up. *Basically, Pokemon that you fight with a dominant stat. give you EVs of that dominant stat. I believe its uhm, 4 EVs that add a +1 to a stat when you level up. *Pkmn (w/out hack'n) Can't Have a sum more than 510EVs or 255 EVs on a single stat.*On Pokemon Battle Revolution they will be copied as Bad Eggs, and will be Unusable! If the EVs don't ADD up to 510! ***Oh and since its 4 EVs that add a +1 to the stat. make sure you give the stat a # of EVs divisible by 4 or else the unused EVs go to waist(all sumed should add to 510) so there might be 2 that go to waist.

That's where I found those codes, yes. But, that doesn't answer my question. I'm trying to get them to 500 or 999, not just 255. And there's three-digit hex involved, so I'm wondering if I just put it in after the 2, or if I have to alter something else in the code!

I started a new game, and I want to trade over my Pokemon from my old game, but have them be recorded as mine (not get the boosted EXP as if they were traded). I can change my ID and Secret ID on the new game with Pokesav, but I don't have any way of checking my old Secret ID (I gave the old game to my friend after trading over Pokemon to the new game).

Is it at all possible to make a code that shows a Pokemon's- not the Trainer's- secret code? A code (or any help at all) would be greatly appreciated.

That's why I wanted to know if there was any way to check the Pokemon's Secret ID, because my old game is gone. I traded all of my Pokemon from my old game, which I no longer have, to my new game. I want to change my new ID and Secret ID to match my old ID, so all of the Pokemon I traded will be "mine".

You could've just changed your ID from your old game to 12345 then when you get your next one,it's 12345 and makes it easy,lol.

No, no.. my old game is gone. The file on it is deleted. However, all of the Pokemon from the old game have been traded to my new game. I want to change the Secret ID of my new trainer to the Secret ID of my old trainer. My problem is, however, I do not know my old trainer's Secret ID. I have the Pokemon that my old trainer used, which means that they have the Secret ID somewhere in them. I would like a way to find out that Secret ID, so I can change my new trainer's Secret ID to that, so that the Pokemon my old trainer used will be seen as the new trainer's Pokemon (not get boosted EXP as if they were traded).

I didn't know about Pokesav when I had my old game, but now that I know it exists, I'd really like to make my new trainer appear like my old trainer, which I can do only if I can pull the old Secret ID from a traded Pokemon.

In other chat rooms and on the nintendo site people are saying that legendary pokemon are banned on GTS. Regardless if this is an actually ban on legendaries or some problem with GTS it still sucks.

Try connecting to wi-fi, but this time dont have any legendaries. I hope this helps.

Mutantdreams made a "map location" code for pokemon pearl/diamond and I was wondering what it does.

Does it manipulate where is says I caught pokemon? If so, would anyone happen to know what I should edit those 4 numbers to make it say from the daycare? the daycare from FR/LG/Emerald? Anywhere in the Kanto Wild? Does anyone have tips regarding trial and error in finding out what numbers do what? If you don't know the answers to these questions, do you know who would and how I could best get in contact with them? This is the code:

Someone made a REDICULOUSLY useful code for checking the IVs of your pokemon. VERY useful when not near a computer or trying to find the IVs of a pokemon who has already been leveled up via fighting a bit. The problem is that sometimes it will only show the HP stat, sometimes only the HP and the ATK stat, and at other times the HP, Atk, Def, and Speed stat as opposed to all 6 stats. In addition to wondering what I'm doing wrong, is there a way to make the code display the stats in the order "hp, atk, def, sp.atk, sp.def, spd" instead of "hp, atk, def, spd, sp.atk, sp.def"? The code can be a bit bogus (only effect are that the game will display the pictures of the Pokémons in the egg, which is 'good', and in the summary, it'll consider all Pokémon as eggs (ie. only one page will be avaible), which is 'bad'), that's why I choosed a 'difficult' key combo to enable it (so it won't be enabled by mistake - however these are just 'visual' glicthes, nothing wrong should really happen). When used correctly (keep Start+Select WHILE entering the Pokémon summary, then release it, exit the Pokémon summary and check your TM/HM pocket), the quantity of the 6 first TM/HM in your bag will reflect your Pokémon IV (=genes). Works on Eggs too.

Is it possible to make a Japanese pokemon in PokeSav? When I pasted the characters in Pokesav they just turned to question marks. I'm pretty sure changing the country of origin in the upper right-hand corner doesn't do anything.

ok, i dont know what cheat i did, but now i cant veiw my party pokemon and when i look at my party a pc like in the pokecenter, i see a question mark in the first slot that used to be a macargo. what do i do to get rid of it?

first of all, you didn't have the first post. second, you probably have a japanese version of pokesav. you can't really make a japanese pokemon. you can't even give it a japanese name unless you have a japanese version of diamond/pearl and jap version of pokesav. most likely have a japanese keyboard too =P and snapemonman, i don't think anyone can help you there, unless you can find out what cheat you did, but i guess the best thing you can do to get rid of it is to put it in your box and release it

I think there is a "delete pokemon" code I saw at one point, I'll try to find it for you. I think it was designed to help people get rid of extra eggs.
