Making it a perfectly legal reverse engineering collaboration. See the DMCA for more information.
I see, thank you Parasyte. :) (I know that was late but I've been afk. hehe)

Version 0.5 is available. Too tired to write much about it. Read the readme.

Dang, extremely nice and convenient. *Goes off to download .xml files with DSLinux* *EDIT* Uh-oh, I tried downloading This subscription, and it doesn't work Nitro Hax fails to read it.

Version 0.6 is now out. I ripped out the XML library I was using and wrote my own AR XML parser instead. This should fix the problems with subscription files, and reduced the size of the NDS by a few KiB. I also added the Action Replay Trainer Toolkit code types C4, C5 and C6. I'm not too sure if they behave as expected, kenobi's info was a little vague ;-)

Good job.
That one subscription works perfectly now.

Oh, some of the longer cheat/folder names overflow one the screen, so I can't see them all. Don't know if that's something you'd want to bother with fixing.

If you don't mind I'd like to list some semi-nonfunctionality enhancements I would eventually like to see. (Eyecandy mainly, lulz)
-Skinnable, but have a PC-side .nds builder for it. (Not another goddamn folder filled with crap for an app)
-Word wrap for the box that shows what code you are hovering over on the top screen as well as dome way to handle the long code/file names on the bottom screen
-Customizable font size/type. (Kinda goes with skinning)
-When you eject and reinsert the gamecard it would be neat to see the logo and game title of the inserted game.

Those are my thoughts, keep up the good work.
(I'm seriously considering of ditching my AR for this app, heh)

Some of those ideas are workable, other's aren't:

Skinning: The graphics are compressed then compiled into the source, so it's a bit hard to do right now. Maybe when I'm finished adding all the features I want.
Word Wrap: I can probably do this for the top screen. The bottom screen has large text to make it easy to touch the codes. Try touching the icons on the left side. Unfortunately, this reduces space for the text, but that's what the top screen's for.
Font size: Kind of hard-coded to be 8x8 for the top screen and 16x16 for the bottom screen. Done using tilemaps, so other sizes are impractical.
Logo/title: Not possible without forcing a second eject/insert, due to the way the loader works. The menu keeps the card in the initial header state and the loader goes through the security procedures. I can't put the security procedure code into the menu app if I ever want to release it's source.

Features I have left to do:
1) Keyboard
2) On DS editting / adding of codes

A Question:
Roms what are at the same Flash Card, will they work with Nitro Hax?

New version 0.7 is out.

Changes to menu:
  • New skin created by Pink-Lightning
  • Remembers position in a folder when you go down into a sub-folder and up again
  • Icon and description for NDS file
  • Word-wrapping
  • Smoothed sub-screen font
  • Codes marked as on in the XML file are on by default
  • Codes marked as always_on are always on
Changes to cheat engine:
  • If codes now add an offset if the base address is 00000000
  • Counter only incremented once per running of cheat engine

This will probably be the last release before v1.0 comes out. I decided not to add a keyboard or DS-based code editting to v1.0, as I am getting a little bored with coding the menu.

Edit, there seems to be an issue, MPH only accepts a few codes, nowhere near as many as ARDS, and ACWW doesn't boot at all.

New version (0.8) out. Fixes Cx code types, correctly parses codes enabled by default in the XML document.

Yoster:
How many codes are you trying on MPH? A code word count would be useful (not just "Oh, about 3 cheats").

Just a thought, this would be cool to have built-in to a homebrew firmware such as FWNitro (If it is even still being developed).

Hi all, sorry for my bad english.

I have 2 whites screens when I try to load my game card with some codes.
I have read the .txt file inclued in NitroHax, I use this XML file: http://fms.freehostonline.com/Subscription.xml for MPH EU version.
(My game ID is: AMHPN0J34 or AMHPNOJ34...)

If all codes are disable, the game starts, but if i activate 1 cheat or more, i have 2 blackscreens.

How can I do?

Thanks a lot

Just asking out of curiousity...

You're not allowing NitroDS to run Flashcard roms because you don't want pirated games runnning, yet you're making an alternative means of running AR codes so nobody has to buy a AR? o_O

Author:  Dualscreenman [ Fri Mar 30, 2007 5:17 am ]
Post subject:

Piracy is intellectual property theft.

NitroHax is completely original work, thus making it competition.

Oh, and I don't think he's not supporting roms because he doesn't want roms to boot. That would be utterly futile.
You must realize that support would have to be added individually for each flashcart, and that each would be a major pain in the ass to implement.

Easy for homebrew. Nintendo, who makes these commercial roms, hasn't implemented it. (Why would they?)

Post subject:

I didn't mean Nintendo had.

Bah, I don't know. It's just... it's keeping me from playing with Action Replay stuff and I thought it was just he didn't want anybody pirating. :(

Wasn't there one means of running AR codes on roms that only worked on a Supercard?

They only work on M3s and it's name is Dipstar.
