My plans with this are sketchy at best, but I want to get a few MCUs to play with:
* Atmel AVR
* Texas Instruments MSP340
Both of these look pretty great. I'm already envisioning several potential uses.
There's a project called
JTAG Finder based on the AVR, which allows you to hook up 30 random pins to find out which ones (if any) are a JTAG port. JTAG is a standard hardware testing and debug port that is often found in consumer electronics. Almost all ICs support JTAG. It provides a nice
back-door for hackers. *cough*
We already know the JTAG port
exists on the BD-drive. But apparently, it is a dead end.
Lucky us, there are more ways into a system than JTAG!
