Basically I'm working on something that jokers codes for multiple systems.

I just started working on it. So all it does so far is convert a DS action replay code to a simple "Press Select" joker.

Truly amazing!

I think it's a great idea for the noobs but you should really NOT call it a joker. They are Activators. Specifically you're doing button conditional activators.
On the other hand, outside of the DS, you'll also need the specific game's button location to be inputed... so that kind of takes the noob out of it and makes the project border-line useless. (But if you were to make this for the DS crowd only, that would be a note-worthy tool, IMO.)

I can't tell if its a good idea.
However there is a problem with the DS AR pad activator codes. Any activator code ('if...' code) needs an 'endif' code. Either D0000000 00000000 or D2000000 00000000.
If you use D0, clueless people might have problems because the offset will not be reset (In case they try to put an activator on a code that uses the offset).
If you use D2, clueless people might have problems if they wanted to use nested activators.
And of course, if the user already puts a D0/D2 code type at the end of their code, you should not add another endif code.

Virus has made a program that will generate activators for the DS among other things...

Decent idea, terrible interface. This seems like something that could be hacked up in Javascript in minutes and just hosted here or something.

If someone wants to write it in Javascript, we'll host it.

It's called a joker command because the person who first found the command was named Joker

I thought they were called Jokers based on the synonymous word "fake", since the "address" value and code type aren't the actual type/address one would use to read the hardware's actual I/O registers.

I also thought that Conspiracy's post was out of place, and/or unnecessary.

Or perhaps he was responding to a noob who asked what a Joker was, and that noob's post was canned before I could see it?

This is why it makes more sense to use a generic name, as I have been adamant about for years.

'Button activator' is fine, but 'conditional' is even better.
