EDIT: Kode Garage v1.0 is now out

EDIT 2: KNOWN BUGS....
1) Slide Code Generator will go one beyond what you want. If you want to 'slide' 50 times enter 49 for the slide amount.
2) Code Analyzer will crash if you give it an 'E' code type and do not provide enough values after the 'E' code.

Kode Garage requires the .Net framework to be installed, so if you dont have it, grab the installer version and it will get the framework for you.

Installer: http://kickenchicken57.110mb.com/Kode%20Garage/Kode_Garage_v1.0.exe
Rar: http://kickenchicken57.110mb.com/Kode%20Garage/Kode%20Garage%20v1.0.rar

OLD POST:

Since AR Workshop will not be solely for the Action Replay, I have decided to do a name change before the first major release. Support for Codebreaker is planned and I also have some nice Rom hacking features planned too. My original Idea was to call it NDS Workshop but I may also add GBA as well. sooo I am not sure what to call this beast. Therefore I am open to any suggestions for a name and will probably have a poll to help me pick the final name that I like the best.

Ps. anyone who knows how to decompress a .sav file from the DS-X card should let me know how.

Title: Mr. Bitches
-Kode Garage.

Or you could branch out and make separate apps for separate systems.

Yea, since some people might only want it for just one system.

well, instead of working separately, why dont you try working together? this way you can compare ideas and such, and the program becomes even better!

I don't like C#. It doesn't make sense to use it.I just use C++ with wxWidgets toolkit to make GUI apps. I use to use Win API. But its not as good.

wxWidgets (rather C++'s "object oriented" approach to programming ... nothing really against wxWidgets, otherwise) makes me sick. For cross-platform development, I think I'd rather use GTK+. Although, maybe there is a proper C wrapper for wxWidgets that will help to avoid the disgust that is C++. I would be willing to give that a chance.

Kode Garage....catchy. keep the ideas coming!

Well, for now I would say GBA support is an if. For now it will be DS only and there could be a possibility for a GBA program like this in the future (fuuuuuuuuuture!!!)

Not that I don't care about people that are not on windows, but I am just too lazy to make for cross-platform support. So sorry to everyone who is not running windows. But Baphomet, if you want to make an app in c++ GO FOR IT! I support you 100% more than happy to help out too.

I agree 100% para. I don't like C++ OOP design either. I like C. However, in certain cases it is nessesary for me to use objects. Like when I use wxWidgets. I do it mainly because I like wxWidgets. Not OOP.

Although object oriented programming may add overhead to some things, It really depends on what you are using the language for that counts. Small apps do not need OOP because it will make a mess. Larger apps can benefit from OOP because it can help by providing code re-usability and maintainability. The program I worked on at my last job would not have even been possible without the use of OOP because of the scale of it. BUT for most all of your game hacking tools, OOP will probably be a waste of time and add overhead that is not necessary, and just plain make a mess. But I must defend that OOP is good if used correctly.

Yes... I prefer not to use it in alot of cases. But as you said, it can help make programs maintain themselves

KicKenchicKen57 would like me to say a few things for him because he really did feel like staying on to post a bunch of stuff.

KicKenchicKen57:

"I had a really bad day at work, all the gas pumps shut down while people were pumping gas, and the customers were all getting really angry. I'm sorry, but I didn't feel like posting because I was getting really frustarated with all the problems at work. As of now, I will most likely change the name from 'AR Workshop', to 'Kode Garage'. Thanks for the idea dualscreenman. I'm going to be adding a few more useful features to Kode Gararge, list everyone who helped in the Help box, and then I'll release yet another version for you guys. And, baphomet, congratulations on starting your own version, good luck on it."

Well, he had a really crappy day at work so he asked me to post this for him. He's supposed to continue working on kode garage either tonight or tomorrow.

Name change is official, I will be going with Kode Garage. Here is a screenshot to show you what I have been working on recently. What it does is it analyzes the codes you input and explains what they are doing. It even tells you what buttons must be pressed in the case of an unlabeled joker code :D

More improvements to come....

Its looking good. Of course you may not be able to implement some of the features I have planned  , it will still be very helpful to the people on Macs and Linux who cannot run my app.

(Wait a minute, you cant use the AR software on linux or Mac anyway can you?)

Illusion wrote:

Well, I have some changes to make to some of the existing tools and the code analyzer still has some features I would like to add in it like an option to validate your codes (check that all 'if' codes are ended) so we will see. I will try to post details of my work when I get the chance to keep everyone informed and up to date.
