Error Code 53002:
unable to connect with this nintendo wfc id.

Means, you connected to the Router, but no internet. This happened to me when my puppy chewed the telephone wire.

Hotels are bad for DS wifi, many have a gay Terms of Service page you must pass before you can use their tubes. You can't do that with the DS.

no, it can mean you just can't get an internet connectio since you also must go through a TOS thing.
I suppose if he hads the browser or DSOrganize or DSLinux he could agree tot he TOS and then connect with his game.
