Maybe this will help newbies with scanning for values in the trainer kit from codejunkies

1: Open Cheat Engine.
2: Find a game that has a health bar with numbers.
3: Click the computer icon in CE and find the process name of the game you want to hack, double click that.
4: Say you have 100 health, go to CE and search 100 in 4 bytes and click "First Scan".
5: Go back to your game and lose some health.
6: Type in the number of your health now, click "Next Scan".
7: Repeat 5 and 6 untill you have 1 address
8: Change the value of that address to 31337 and see if that worked .

There's also a nice tutorial that comes with Cheat Engine but most people skip it and are like "wtf is a valyou??"

There aren't any Nintendo 64 emulators with debugging features (in other words, Nemu) that can play Jet Force Gemini. So, in order to debug the game without using Nemu, I attached Cheat Engine to Project 64 and located the address that the emulator stores the current PC. Then all I had to do was set x86 breakpoints and dump the RDRAM by finding out where PJ64 stores the RDRAM and then I was able to use LemASM to make my assembly hacks.

Basically, Cheat Engine is insanely powerful. ^_^

What's this about downloading hardware? Can someone teach me how to hack life like that? O_O

Edit: I tried hacking a browser based game with CE (XD) and failed miserably. I'm wondering if it's even possible, what with all the DMA?

Multiplayer flash games can be hacked, like Adventure Quest. But I only ever hacked my life because gold and other static values are impossible to hack (stored on the server).

um i have a game with a time limit of 120 can you teach me how to make the timer stop or something?(with chest engine)

if you can pause the game:
1) Pause
2) initial search for byte, value = timer value, if you can't see the timer, search for unknown
3) unpause
4) Pause a couple of seconds later
5) subsearch for the new value, if you can't see the timer, subsearch for 'decreased'
6) repeat steps 3 - 4 and 5 until you have only 1 location left...
7) lock this value

if you cant pause the game:
1) initial search for byte, value = unknown
2) subsearch for decreased
3) subsearch for decreased
4) subsearch for decreased
5) repeat until only one location left
6) lock this location.

Once you know the mem location, you can always attach ollydbg and set a write breakpoint on it,
it will break at the instruction that decreases the timer value. Nop out this instruction. Or do it with CE if you like, I guess CE has that functionality too (isn't that the auto hack or something?)

You can download CPU cores and various other designs for hardware. No Trainer Toolkit though.
